The Spice Girl reunion tour is off.

According to sources Mel C and Victoria Beckham no longer want to take part.

Mel reportedly visited Posh in Madrid last week to talk about a tour in honour of the tenth anniversary of their debut single, Wannabe, getting to No1.

The tour had been scheduled for November and December.

A soruce said: "Melanie has never really been into the idea of performing with the girls again. She is proud of everything they did together but she has moved on.

"She wants to concentrate on solo work. She met with Victoria, who was thinking the same thing. Posh is now heavily into fashion and realised the Spice tour had the potential to be a PR disaster.

"Geri Halliwell is expecting a baby in the summer so she's not going to be in any position to start rehearsing for a while. Emma Bunton and Mel B both wanted to do it but now Victoria and Melanie C have vetoed it."

Peter Andre says he was "a total whore" before he settled down with Jordan.

The singer revealed before he met Jordan he bedded a string of women and enjoyed threesomes.

He told Loaded magazine: "My manager told me not to sleep with a groupie in every town I played, as I'd never get invited back.

He said: "I refused to say anything bad when we split but then I read lots of interviews by Charlie slagging off the band - it really p****s me off. I thought: "What a bastard"."

Charlie, who now fronts Fightstar, had said: "I was in a music career which was amazing, and I hated it because it wasn't fulfilling. I kept thinking, imagine if I was in a band I really liked, I'd be loving it. It was torture."

Matt complained: "We were in the band for five years, and it's insulting to our fans who spent money following us around, buying our music and voting for us to win awards. It's out of order.

"I haven't got anything against his new band but it wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for us."

Matt's debut solo single Up All Night is out on May 22 and the album on September 4.

A source tells The Wise, “Kelly's great on camera and she's also deadly serious about acting. So when it was suggested she let cameras follow her into some really bizarre situations she was bang up for it.

"She's a bit nervous now that filming's about to start but she knows she'll meet interesting people along the way - especially the prostitutes."

NICOLE Kidman was well aware that Tom Cruise was using a private detective to wiretap her phones during their 2001 divorce. Kidman hired private eye Richie Di Sabatino, who told Page Six last week, "We swept her phones and put on an encryption device, so she couldn't be wiretapped . . . We tried to keep one step ahead." But Kidman knew that Cruise's private detective, Anthony Pellicano, was a resourceful opponent. One pal said: "During her divorce, she would talk to friends on the phone and every couple of minutes break into the conversation and say, 'So, Tom, are you listening,' or 'Am I saying what you want me to say, Tom?' She knew he was either tapping her phone or trying to. She was no dummy. She not only knew about it but taunted Tom." In fact, Pellicano may have been successful in his phone snooping. Kidman has been questioned by the FBI in the Pellicano investigation because the feds found a recording of her talking to Cruise in computers they seized from Pellicano's office in 2002. Di Sabatino suggests the tape was from Cruise's phone.

Look for the star to appear onscreen next in Simply Leon, a film by Tim Farmer, a senior at Fairport (N.Y.) High School.

Last year Hoffman visited Fairport, his alma mater, and Farmer pitched a seven-second role in the short he was making for media class. "He gave me his all," Farmer, 18, tells PEOPLE. "He even said the F-word, which I didn't call for."

The director hopes to debut Leon in L.A. this summer. As for compensation, "I asked him if I had to pay," says Farmer. "He said, 'I don't think you have to pay me for using the F-word.'"

LUCY LIU was horrified when she joined her LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN co-star JOSH HARTNETT for a night on the town when the police were called to calm them down. The actress rarely lives it up when she's working but she thought a night out with cast and crew in Montreal, Canada would be harmless. She says, "We all went out to a tiny bar. They had a DJ there and I had a great time but I had to work the next day. I never go out when I'm working but they said, 'Come on one time.' "I thought, 'I'll just come by for 10 minutes,' and that was when we were dancing on the tables and the Montreal police came. We were disrupting the peace. "To my knowledge nobody got arrested."
