Stunning Kate Middleton showed off the figure that's caught Prince William's eye on their romantic Caribbean holiday yesterday. Wearing a flattering aquamarine bikini, the millionaire's daughter, 24, watched admiringly as Wills, 23, played on a rope swing on their yacht. The university sweethearts are staying with a group of friends in an £8,000-a-week mansion on Mustique, the playground of the rich and famous. Yesterday they spent their time relaxing on the boat. The future king had fun leaping into the water off a rope on the rigging. He later hosed himself down to cool off. The night before, Wills grabbed the microphone at a beach-front karaoke bar and serenaded Kate. An onlooker said: "They were all having a great time. All the lads were urging William to get up and sing. He agreed and seemed pretty cool about the whole thing."

Over priced stars
@ 2006-05-04 – 16:38:11
Poor Jim Carrey. His movies have raked in nearly $2.6 billion at box offices, but now a leading entertainment magazine says the comedian's asking price of $32.5 million a film has become "a bit of a gamble."
In its issue out this week, Entertainment Weekly magazine rates top stars on whether they are worth the money.
Among those whose asking prices have become too high are Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell and Eddie Murphy, the magazine said.
It added that after years of ever-rising star salaries, the prices for top talent are now coming down because the cost of making movies is going up, among other issues.
"It's long overdue," former Twentieth Century Fox chairman Bill Mechanic told the magazine.
Entertainment Weekly quoted several studio executives as saying the rising cost of production has led many stars to take large parts of their fees from revenue and profit participation that may never materialise if films flop at box offices.
Carrey, star of hits like Bruce Almighty, had been a big beneficiary of the 1990s' salary run-up during which he saw his paycheck hit the $32 million mark.
However, his recent big-budget movies like Fun with Dick and Jane barely topped $130 million in domestic ticket sales, leaving his star tarnished, the magazine said.
Carrey's not the only one. Kidman is considered a risky bet after the box office failure of Bewitched and The Stepford Wives among other recent films.
Will Ferrell's $26 million also made the list of risky bets given recent box office disappointments and Eddie Murphy's $20 million was considered downright "too pricey."
But Tom Hanks' $32.5 million was thought to be "worth every penny" because he remains "one of the most bankable brand names in the world."
Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, at $6.5 million to $9 million a picture, and Rachel McAdams at $4 million to $5 million), were also named as bargains.

Fans can look forward to a September filled with classic Star Wars nostalgia, led by the premiere of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy video game and the long-awaited DVD release of the original theatrical incarnations of the classic Star Wars trilogy.
In response to overwhelming demand, Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release attractively priced individual two-disc releases of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Each release includes the 2004 digitally remastered version of the movie, as well as the original theatrical edition of the film. This release will only be available for a limited time: from September 12th to December 31st. International release will follow on or about the same day. Each original theatrical version will feature Dolby 2.0 Surround sound, close-captioning, and subtitles in English, French and Spanish for their U.S. release. International sound and subtitling vary by territory.
"Over the years, a truly countless number of fans have told us that they would love to see and own the original version that they remember experiencing in theaters," said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts and Senior Vice President of Lucasfilm Ltd. "We returned to the Lucasfilm Archives to search exhaustively for source material that could be presented on DVD. This is something that we're very excited to be able to give to fans in response to their continuing enthusiasm for Star Wars. Topping it off with a new interactive adventure makes September 12 a red-letter day for Star Wars fans."
That's also the day fans will be able to experience the LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy video game, the action-packed sequel -- filled with tongue-in-cheek humor -- to one of the best selling video games of 2005. To see the trailer to the new game from LucasArts and TT Games.

Spelling beau's ex set to tell all
@ 2006-05-04 – 16:29:57
The jilted wife of Dean McDermott is reportedly dishing the dirt on how the actor dumped her for Tori Spelling.
The New York Post's famed Page Six reports that Canadian TV personality Mary Jo Eustace, best known for her stint hosting the cooking show What's For Dinner, is shopping around a tell-all book about the ignominious collapse of her marriage.
The tale would reportedly reveal how McDermott, her actor-husband of 12 years, bedded the also-married star only months after he and Eustace, 45, adopted a baby girl, Lola.
The book proposal for My Husband Left Me for Tori Spelling begins with McDermott, 38, jetting off to shoot a TV movie with the former 90210 star, then returning to coldly report that he'd slept with her. "We're soulmates. She loves me unconditionally."
"Wasn't it just two months ago that he'd said he'd never been more in love with me or proud of me?" writes Eustace, who'd moved to California so McDermott could chase his dreams of fame.
Adding insult to injury, she says, he got a tattoo on his wrist that read "Truly, Madly, Deeply, Tori" - but didn't have money to pay the electricity bills.
Page Six says Spelling and McDermott, who are engaged, issued a joint statement in which they called the book proposal "opportunistic and undignified."

Brandon Flowers is feeling confident
@ 2006-05-04 – 16:13:53
The Killers' Brandon Flowers has said that the band are recording "one of the best albums in the past 20 years".
The Las Vegas group have been hard at work in their hometown since January with producers Flood and Alan Moulder in Studio At The Palms.
Flowers said of the recording process: "We just have to make the best album that we can. And we're doing it. This album is one of the best albums in the past 20 years. There's nothing that touches this album. And that sounds like I'm being cocky, but I'm just so excited."
The follow-up to the band's 2004 debut 'Hot Fuss' is due out in September and tracks set for inclusion on the record include 'Bones', 'Where The White Boys Dance', 'For Reasons Unknown' and 'My Lists'.
During a recent performance at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Flowers unveiled his new look - a gruff beard, hippy beads and a velvet trenchcoat - in a nod to Bruce Springsteen.
The singer has now revealed more about his love for The Boss and said that he feels 'reborn' after discovering his music.
"I prefer to call it my rebirth," he told MTV News. "I had something happen that I didn't ever think could happen. I fell in love with The Smiths and the Pet Shop Boys when I was 12 years old, and I never thought that could happen again.
"But after meeting a lot of those people, who were my heroes and idols, and seeing them onstage, something changed. We'd drawn large crowds, and it felt like we were getting to the same sort of place, and it made me feel like I couldn't look at those people in the same light anymore."
Flowers explained: "And that was kind of sad, but then I had another one of those 12-year-old experiences when I was 23, but this time with Bruce Springsteen. And it was just - it was elation... He's a gift, and I didn't know. There was something in his music that touched what I was going through, the process of falling back in love with my America."
Falling back in love with the US is now shaping the sound of the second Killers record, the frontman explained.
"Springsteen touches on the American dream, and that's everybody's dream. And it's such a great idea - whether or not it's still happening today," he said. "Most of the songs are about getting to that place, of making it to the promised land. And that idea runs through the record. It's very optimistic."

CRUISE'S WESTERN
@ 2006-05-04 – 16:07:37
TOM CRUISE is planning to make his next movie a western. The actor is keen to move away from the action films he has concentrated on for the past five years and diversify. As well as 3:10 TO YUMA - which will be directed by JAMES MANGOLD - Cruise is also being linked with a romantic comedy called FOOL'S GOLD. Cruise says, "I'd love to make a western." But he confesses the quality of the scripts sent to him don't match his appetite to work: "I'm the kind of person who, if I could make three movies a year, I would make three movies, but I haven't found anything I like at the moment."

Please don't download our album, sob Red Hot Chilis
@ 2006-05-04 – 16:02:05
Mainstream rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers have resorted to emotional blackmail to prevent their fans from downloading illegal copies of their new album before it is released on 9 May.
Flea, their much-admired bassist, and a man who, like the other "peppers", is wont to make an exhibition of his naked torso, told fans on Tuesday that it would "break my heart" if they downloaded the new album.
He called upon the sensitive souls of his colleagues, who together form one of the biggest selling bands in the world, as expert witnesses in his case: "it will break john frusciante's heart. it will break anthony kiedis's heart. and it will break the heart of chad smith," he wrote.
But Flea, also known as Michael Balzary, also said there were "equitable business reasons" why fans should buy the album, citing the hard work the band members had put into it.
The group is thought to have sold 50m albums and is not short of a bob or two. But that does not mean they are any less human. Flea confessed how deeply hurt the band would be to think their fans had to listen to poor quality copies of music they had put so much time into producing.
Indeed, he said the thought "bums all of us out", and guitarist John Frusciante in particular would be "hurt deep inside".
The Chili Peppers' record company and numerous retailers are counting on making big bucks out of the new album, "Stadium Arcadium".
Fans should, he said, appeal to their own consciences before deciding whether to download the new album or buy it in the shops.
