Shortly after the contestants gathered for the first time, the producers unveiled their first surprise - the boys would have to pick one of the girls to pair off with straight away. As there are six men and five ladies, this would leave one girl as the 'single celebrity'.

The first four couples were Brendan Cole and Kelle Bryan, Shane Lynch and Lady Victoria Hervey, Chris Brosnan and Bianca Gascoigne, and finally Lee Otway and Colleen Shannon. This left Streets star Leo Ihenancho to make the final decision between model Alicia Douvall and Sophie - and after flipping a rock, he opted for the former.

Despite insisting she was fine with the decision, Sophie later commented, “I left six guys back in London - of course I’m going to be p***ed off.”

After being told that it was her job to cook and clean, Anderton complained, "I can't cook. I'm not worth this f***ing humiliation. I don't have to clean my house."
