  • Angelina Jolie Upsets Brad Pitt's Family

Angelina Jolie reportedly offended Brad Pitt's mother by drinking at son Maddox's fifth birthday party. Brad's family flew in from their hometown in Missouri to visit granddaughter Shiloh Nouvel but allegedly left early because they were unhappy with her behavior at the party. Angelina is said to have barely acknowledged Brad's family and upset his mom, Jane, by having an open bar at the bash.

Neither of Brad's parents drink and they didn't approve of Angelina drinking around her and Brad's children and the other youngsters at the party. A source told America's Star magazine: "They were the only ones not drinking and it was uncomfortable for them. To Jane, drinking is unhealthy, and she thought Angelina was intoxicated.

"Things were very tense that weekend, and they left with an even worse impression of Angelina than before. They think she is tactless and doesn't consider other peoples feelings."

The Pitt family allegedly cut their trip short after just two days, leaving on the day of the party.

  • Elton John wants to make hip-hop album

Elton John tells Rolling Stone magazine that he wants to record a hip-hop album with Grammy-winning producer Dr. Dre.

"I want to work with Pharrell, Timbaland, Snoop, Kanye, Eminem and just see what happens," John says in the Sept. 7 issue. "It may be a disaster, it could be fantastic, but you don't know until you try."

The 59-year-old says he is a fan of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" and Tupac Shakur's "California Love."

"I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip-hop beats," John says. "I love these beats, but I have no idea how to get them."

John performed Eminem's song "Stan" with the rapper during the 2001 Grammy awards.

John's new album, "The Captain and the Kid," is due in September.

  • Gene Simmons sends video to Israeli

Israeli-born "KISS" rocker Gene Simmons sent a get-well video to an Israeli soldier wounded in Lebanon, calling him a hero the world should be proud of.

"I can't tell you how proud I am of you and how much the world and Israel owe you a debt of gratitude," Simmons told Ron Weinreich, a tank crewman paralyzed from the chest down, in a video broadcast on Saturday on Israel's Channel 2 television.

Channel 2 said the KISS bassist made the video for Weinreich, a fan of the legendary rock group, at the request of Israel's Soldiers' Welfare Association, a fund-raising group.

Weinreich, hospitalized near Tel Aviv, was wounded two weeks ago in fighting against Hizbollah guerrillas.

"From the bottom of my heart, you're a real hero, you're everybody's hero, you're my hero," said Simmons, who recorded the video in the United States and added in Hebrew: "My name is Haim. I was born in Haifa."

Simmons was born Haim Witz in the northern Israeli port city in 1949. He emigrated to the United States at the age of eight with his mother, a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp.

  • Laryngitis forces John Mayer to cancel

Laryngitis forced pop singer John Mayer to back out of a performance Saturday night.

Thousands of fans waited at the gates of the Dodge Music Center before organizers decided co-headliner Sheryl Crow and opening act Mat Kearney could go on without Mayer.

The Grammy-winning singer, who was born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, has hits including Your Body is a Wonderland and Daughters.

"John feels terrible about the sudden cancellation and he will plan to be back in Connecticut soon," according to a press release, which attributed his absence to a "sudden onset" of laryngitis.

Fans who did not cross the entrance gate and have their tickets ripped are entitled to a refund.

  • Paris is upset

Paris Hilton is furious with Cher’s son for claiming that the two had sex — and that then he worried that he caught something from her.

Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s son by rocker Gregg Allman, went on the Howard Stern show last week and boasted that he had a fling with Hilton. Allman, who is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Deadsy, said that after the encounter, he became so worried that he might have contracted a disease that he went downstairs and scrubbed his private parts with a household cleaner, probably Tilex.

Hilton is “not happy” about Allman’s comments, says a source, even though he described Hilton as a “sweet girl.”

Alman also said he had sex years ago with Hilton’s reality show co-star and former best friend, Nicole Richie, and says they’re now friends.

  • John Karr: Innocent?

The DNA sample taken from suspect John Mark Karr does not match DNA found on JonBenet Ramsey's body and no charges will be filed against the schoolteacher who claimed he was with the child when she died, CNN affiliate KUSA reported.

KUSA, based in Denver, Colorado, quoted two sources in a bulletin on its Web site:

"9NEWS has confirmed from two sources that the DNA sample taken from John Mark Karr is not a match with the foreign DNA found on JonBenet Ramsey's body when she was murdered in 1996. 9NEWS has also learned the Boulder County District Attorney's office will not file charges against Karr in connection with the Ramsey case."

KUSA says other sources also confirm that no charges will be filed against Karr in connection with the Ramsey case by the Boulder County District Attorney's office.

CNN is working to independently confirm the report as Karr awaits his first court appearance in Colorado later Monday afternoon. Karr will appear before Judge Roxanne Bailin at 4:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. ET).

The Denver station reported that samples of Karr's saliva and hair were taken in Boulder after his arrival Thursday evening. Those samples were tested over the weekend by the Denver Police Department's crime lab.

The Colorado television station says those tests ruled out Karr's DNA is as the foreign DNA left on JonBenet's body when she was slain in December 1996.

JonBenet was covered in a blanket when her body was found. Foreign hair fibers were found on that blanket and they did not match any of the Ramsey family or approximately 100 people that were tested.

Karr still faces charges of child pornography in California.

Earlier Monday, Karr's defense team requested that prosecutors hand over DNA evidence in the Ramsey case.

Public disclosure of any DNA evidence was specifically barred by a gag order issued Friday. The order applies to all attorneys and law enforcement officials involved in the case.

The 41-year-old suspect is being held in Boulder County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, first- and second-degree kidnapping, and sexual assault. No formal charges have been filed yet by Boulder prosecutors.

Documents list Karr's birthplace as Conyers, Georgia, and his occupation as "teacher."

Karr was brought back to the United States from Bangkok, Thailand. He arrived in Colorado Thursday evening from California, where he skipped bail in 2001 after being charged in Sonoma County with five misdemeanor counts of possessing child pornography.

Karr appeared at a brief hearing in Los Angeles and waived extradition to Colorado. (Watch Patsy Ramsey's sister reveal what the family will do if Karr isn't guilty -- 4:11)

He told reporters in Thailand he was with JonBenet the night she died, and that her death was an accident. The child's beaten and strangled body was found December 26, 1996, in the basement of her family's Boulder home.

Autopsy results showed she had suffered a blow to the head and been strangled with a garrote tightened with a paintbrush handle.

After Karr's statements in Thailand, questions have surfaced as to whether the slight, soft-spoken man could have been involved in the grisly killing.

Earlier this year, Michael Tracey, a journalism professor at the University of Colorado, alerted authorities to e-mails he had been receiving from a person now believed to be Karr.

Tracey, who has produced a documentary about the Ramsey case, said there was something in the e-mails "that made me decide I had to try and do something." But he would not say just what prompted him to contact prosecutors.

A law enforcement official told CNN that Karr's e-mails to Tracey were initially innocuous but that the professor contacted authorities when they became "weird." The communications were eventually tracked to Thailand.

Tracey told CNN Thursday he also learned Karr's name five days before the arrest.

  • Spider-Man' Cast Called Back for Reshoots

Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco are being called back to the set of Spider-Man 3 for re-shoots, after test audiences complained the movie was lacking in "action." Franco, who plays Spider-man's alter-ego Peter Parker's troubled friend Harry Osborn in the superhero movies, has just finished filming comedy drama Camille with Sienna Miller. He tells MTV, "The next thing I'm shooting? Re-shoots on Spider-Man... Probably next month. Director Sam Raimi wants more action." The sequel also features Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard and Oscar nominee Thomas Haden Church in new roles.

  • Foxy Brown pleads guilty to assault & gets probation

Rapper Foxy Brown pleaded guilty on Monday to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a fight with salon workers over a manicure. The plea deal, which spares her jail time, requires her to serve three years probation and take anger management classes, said Edison Alban, a spokesman for the Manhattan district attorney's office.

Minutes after the plea, Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, tried to return to the courtroom and withdraw it, claiming she had been rushed into the decision, Alban said. But the judge told her "the plea stands," the spokesman said.

A telephone call to Brown's attorney was not immediately returned Monday.

Prosecutors said the 26-year-old rapper, who once appeared in court wearing 4-inch hoop earrings and 3-inch stiletto heels, kicked one employee and smacked a second in the face on Aug. 29, 2004, in an argument over payment for a manicure at Bloomie Nails.

  • Ringo's wife gets kicked by horse

Barbara Bach, a former Bond girl and wife of ex-Beatle Ringo Starr, was hospitalized with a broken leg after being kicked by a horse, a hospital official said Monday.

Bach was admitted Sunday to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, 35 miles southwest of London. She had surgery to repair her fractured right femur, the hospital said.

Bach, who turned 59 on Sunday, married Starr in 1981. The couple appeared together in the 1981 film "Caveman."

She was a Bond girl in 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me," starring Roger Moore as Agent 007.

  • Girls Get The Lads Panting

Girls Aloud really sizzled in their hot pants at an open air gig. But they almost popped out of their skimpy gear - and had to be taped in to spare their blushes.

The singers flashed the flesh in ultra-sexy outfits as they took the stage at the Pop in the Park in Cheshire. But heavy-duty tape made sure they didn't reveal too much.

The girls - Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Tweedy, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh - even had to be taped into their shoes so they didn't kick them off.

But a bit of sticky stuff couldn't stop the girls looking sensational in shorts. And blonde Sarah showed her cheeky side as she performed in kinky boots and bodysuit.

  • Westlife Australian Tour Postponed

Westlife won't make it to Australia next month due to recording commitments.

The Australian tour was to take place between September 17 and 23 but the boyband is yet to complete its next album.

A statement from Sony-BMG says that "due to delays in the recording of their new album, due for international release in October of this year, the band have reluctantly had to reschedule their Australian tour and will now tour here early in 2007".

Ticket holders are advised at this stage to hang on to their tickets until further notice.

An Australian promotional tour is being planned in October.

"Westlife apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause their fans" the statement reads.

  • Knoxville attacked in bar brawl

Johnny Knoxville was left shaken when he was attacked by a man at a Hollywood bar last week.

Knoxville was drinking at dive bar Tinys KO, along with "Jackass" co-stars Steve-O and Chris Pontius, when a man shoved him against a wall.

According to an eyewitness Steve-O and Pontius immediately dragged the attacker outside.

The witness says, "Johnny tried to mediate. He looked a bit shaken up when he came back into the bar, but the other two were disappointed that they didn't fight."

Knoxville recently told Spin magazine that people regularly try and pick fights with him saying, "People think by challenging me they're going to show they're tough. But I'm not tough.

"Decent drinker, not a bad kisser, but not a great fighter."

Paul Bettany and Brendan Fraser have been confirmed to star in the screen adaptation of a children's fantasy book by Cornelia Funke.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair will play key characters in Inkheart, the story of a girl whose father can bring any fictional character to life by reading aloud from the book and has to call on the help of the fantasy figures when he is kidnapped.

Fraser is set to play the father, while Bettany is in talks to play a fire-eater called Dustmouth.

  • Lucas talks down 'Indiana Jones'

George Lucas has talked down the latest installment in the Indiana Jones series, claiming it will not meet expectations.

The producer believes the hype surrounding the upcoming movie is too much to live up to, and a lot of people will be disappointed.

He told Empire magazine: "We're basically going to do The Phantom Menace. People's expectations are way higher than you can deliver. You could just get killed for the whole thing. We would do it for fun and just take the hit with the critics and the fans."

The fourth Indiana Jones film is expected to be released in summer 2008.

  • 'Heathers' sequel in the works

Winona Ryder has hinted that there could be a sequel to her hit film Heathers on the way.

Although the potential plot remains a mystery, the actress has revealed that some of the details have already been thought out.

  • East 17 reunion turns sour after bust-up

The reunion of nineties boyband East 17 seems to have been short-lived as songwriter Tony Mortimer has been pushed out of the line-up.

With plans to film a behind-the-scenes documentary chronicling their return to the spotlight, the band recently reformed and began work on a new album.

However, old tensions proved impossible to overcome as an argument broke out between Mortimer and lead singer Brian Harvey over punctuality.

Fellow bandmember John Hendy said: “Brian refused to work with Tony again after their punch up. Brian thought if Tony reacts like that every time he’s late, then what’s the point. I don’t think Tony’s heart was in it really. There was too much of an ego clash between him and Brian."

“We have carried on with just the three of us and did a gig in Russia the other week, which was mental...Brian wants us to try it all again with just us and Terry [Coldwell]. But I’ve got my roofing company to think about. I don’t know if I want to give up the business I’ve built up to dance on stage," Hendy added.

  • Manics team up on solo tours

He added: "I sing a bit and play guitar. I want to play gigs again - it's definitely something I want to take more seriously."

"She didn't get fired. She's pregnant," he replied.

DJ Vikki Locke later told Buzz: "It was kind of a 'Oops, what did I just do?' moment...When the microphones were off, he just looked at the woman with him and asked, 'Was I not supposed to say anything?"

  • Panic! At The Disco speak after bottling

Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendan Urie has spoken about the bottling incident during his band's set at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival today (August 25).

As previously reported, the singer was struck in the face by a missile thrown from the crowd just seconds into his band's appearence on the main stage.

Speaking to NME, Urie revealed that the bottle had knocked him out cold.

"I'm doing alright now, I could be way worse, I could be dead," he joked. "What I remember is I got hit, got knocked out, woke up and finished the set! I was out for a couple of seconds, I guess. Then we played some music, it was good. I've got a bruise, but looks good. It makes me look rugged and tough."

The band were midway through 'The Only Difference Between Suicide Martyrdom Is Press Coverage' when their singer was struck, but after Urie recovered they went straight back into the song at the point where they had suddenly stopped.

"When I got back up with just got on with," said the singer. "I guess we were sending a message to whoever threw the bottle, you can't stop us!"

Despite the eventful start, the band explained that their Carling Weekend: Reading appearance proved a career highlight.

"It was an awesome set other than the bottle," said guitarist Ryan Ross. "It's the most people we've ever played for, as far as I could see, people were interacting with us. It was great."

The band also played a cover of Radiohead's 'Karma Police' and admitted they were surprised by the positive reaction.

"Playing Radiohead was fun," said Urie. "It seems to go a little bit better over here. I like playing it, it's good to open people eyes to bands we like and hopefully people enjoyed it."

"Plus it's good to play as well in case someone is stuck in the crowd and they hate our band," joked Ross, "Maybe they'll like at least one song."

    - Elijah proceeded to call Paris “a sweet girl” while also claiming he wasn’t that interested in her, especially after they had sex. In the interview, Fuller, 46, said he was also planning a sitcom based around another former Spice Girl, Emma Bunton.

"You can't show up late," Macy, 56, told reporters Thursday at a Los Angeles junket promoting his new movie, Everyone's Hero. "It's very, very
    disrespectful."

Macy, who shares a scene with Lohan, 20, in the upcoming Emilio Estevez-directed drama Bobby, called the actress a "huge talent," but echoed the sentiments expressed in a letter sent to her recently by a studio chief who blasted her
    work ethic.

The letter came from James G. Robinson, CEO of Morgan Creek Productions, which is producing Lohan's film Georgia Rule. Macy's wife, Felicity Huffman, also stars in the movie.

"I think what an actor has to realize (is that) when you show up an hour late, 150 people have been scrambling to cover for you," Macy told reporters Thursday.

"There is not an apology big enough in the world to have to make 150 people scramble. It's nothing but disrespect. And Lindsay Lohan is not the only one. A
lot of actors show up late as if they're God's gift to the film. It's inexcusable, and they should have their asses kicked."

When asked about Lohan's work on Bobby, Macy paused and said, "She was pretty late."

  • Jennifer Aniston makes directorial debut

JENNIFER ANISTON is donning her director's hat to shoot her first film project with pal ANDREA BUCHANAN. The pair have teamed up to make short film ROOM 10 with KRIS KRISTOFFERSON and ROBIN WRIGHT PENN for style magazine Glamour's annual Reel Moments project.

The three stories chosen to be adapted by Glamour bosses are all based on real-life sagas sent in by readers. Last year GWYNETH PALTROW made her directorial debut when she took charge of a romantic comedy for the project. Aniston and Buchanan's drama is set in a hospital emergency room, where Kristofferson's patient character quizzes his stern nurse (Wright Penn) about the bad choices she has made in her life.

Kristofferson admits he's thrilled to be working with the former FRIENDS star: "I have so much respect for Jennifer as an actress; it's very easy for me to take direction from her."

Aniston admits Paltrow's debut in 2005 inspired her to get involved this year: "I had seen Gwyneth's last year... and I heard about the whole project, and thought it was fantastic." Actress BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD also makes her directorial debut, taking charge of another film in the 2006 series.

  • James Blunt will shoot you

Singer/songwriter James Blunt has bought a gun that fires rocks to scare away fans who congregate outside his new home on the Spanish island Ibiza. The hitmaker, who has topped charts on both sides of the Atlantic, spent $3 million on his holiday retreat last month and is shocked to find fans have already discovered his hideaway's location.
The 32-year-old, who is a former British Army officer, says, "I've not had my place in Ibiza long but since I've been here, I've experienced a lot of people hanging around outside my house - it's totally out of order.

"When I come here I want to get away from it all and I just keep to myself so I'd like some privacy in return. I've gone out and bought a gun that shoots rocks so if I catch anyone hanging around then I'll get them with that.

  • Paramount signs two movie deal with Parker & Stone

"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have set two live-action films at Paramount.

Parker and Stone, who have re-christened their Par-based shingle Important Pictures, will first make the Jeff Roda-scripted high school comedy "My All-American." They plan to follow with "Giant Monsters Attack Japan!," a film scripted by J.F. Lawton ("Under Siege") that will combine live-action with the "rubber suit" techniques made popular in Asian imports like "Godzilla."

Parker will direct each film and Stone produce; both will work on the scripts with the writers. Sean Daniel and Nickelodeon will also be producers on "Giant Monsters."

Parker and Stone are aiming for a 2007 production start, timed to a hiatus from "South Park," which this week launched its 10th season.

"My All-American" will sport a young cast, marking the first time Parker and Stone have worked with real actors since the pre-"South Park" features "Cannibal: The Musical!" and "Orgazmo."

"Neither of these movies feel like vehicles for big stars, but this will be our opportunity to find out if there are any actors left who want to work with us," Stone said.

The duo is determined to beef up its Important shingle, with topper Jennifer Howell and longtime series producer Anne Garefino spearheading the search for project acquisitions.

"We learned from the last two films that these can't all be self-generated," Stone said. "Trey and I are script whores, so we'll be very involved in shaping these projects. We've averaged a movie every five years. We'd like to make more and produce films that give other directors a chance."

  • Carrie & Austin fired from DAYS

Christie Clark (Carrie) and Austin Peck (Austin) are the latest victims of budget cuts at DAYS. The popular pair received their notice and will be leaving the show.

A spokesperson for the show says, "We are in an incredible time of change at the moment. As exciting as this time is, it does necessitate changes in cast and story.

There will be a shift in the cast and unfortunately, the characters of Carrie and Austin will be leaving. Fortunately, their exits will be happy for everyone involved in Salem."

The couple, who have been dating for three years, co-star in the upcoming short film, Denial. They plan to wed next fall. Routh, 26, proposed earlier this month with a sparkler from LA jeweler Neil Lane.

  • X-Men 4

X-MEN fans prick up your ears Wolverine-style – a fourth chapter is in the making.
Executive producer of the X-Men movies, Lauren Schuler Donner, says they are keen to do yet another movie.

But Lauren says that although some of the stars are ready to shoot, the likes of Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Famke Janssen are not.

Lauren told the LA Daily News: "The newer cast members are signed, and the older cast members are not."

That means it’s likely X-Men 3 stars Shawn Ashmore, Aaron Stanford, Ellen Page and Ben Foster are locked into doing the next one.

Reports suggest one solution is to do an ‘X-Men: The New Mutants’ movie featuring the next generation.

It would also mean the bigger stars wouldn’t have to return.

  • Pirates Upstage Teen Choice

Jessica Simpson cohosted with rumored boytoy Dane Cook; Nick Lachey was on hand to pick up an award. Kevin Federline made his world premiere rapping debut; Wilmer Valderrama won something.

The 2006 Teen Choice Awards were all kinds of awkward.

Not for everyone, though--Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest continued to bulldoze all competition, nabbing a leading seven surfboards, the resident trophy, at Fox's youth-centric award show.

Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom were both on hand to pick up the awards.

Lachey earned his surfboard in the category of Choice Music Love Song for "What's Left of Me," a ballad chronicling the fall-out from his marriage to Simpson.

"I just want to start off by saying, awkward, a little bit," Lachey said accepting his award. Even more awkward: The very audible "Take that, Jessica" shouted from the crowd.

It was Lachey's second award of the night, as he was also voted Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon, Male. His current paramour, MTV's Vanessa Minnillo, was up for a Choice TV Personality but lost out to Ashton Kutcher.

But his ex didn't go home empty-handed. Simpson nabbed the Choice Movie Breakout, Female, award for her Daisy Duke-donning portrayal in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Other notable wins included Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock's nod for Choice Liplock for their Lake House smooches, while Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn nabbed Choice Movie Chemistry for The Break-Up, which they accepted together via taped message.

Bloom took home the board for Choice Hottie.

On the TV side, The O.C. babes Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton took home the Choice TV Actress, Drama, and Choice TV Actress awards, respectively, while Disney's surprise super hit High School Musical took home three nods, for Choice TV Show, Choice TV Chemistry and Choice TV Breakout Star for Zac Efron. Valderrama won for Choice TV Actor, Comedy, for Fox's defunct That '70s Show. (Funny how Fox shows, even the canceled ones, dominated the Fox-based award show.)

Fall Out Boy dominated the music scene, being named the Choice Music Rock Group and having "Dance, Dance" take home Choice Music Single and Choice Music Rock Track.

Rihanna was named the Choice Music Breakout.

Of course, there's already a prime contender for next year's title.

Kevin Federline made his performing world debut Sunday night, closing out the show with his upcoming single--from Federation Records, no less--"Lose Control." Wife Britney Spears was on hand to introduce her hubby.

"This show has been very good to me and my career over the years," she said, chomping on her ever-present chewing gum. "And I'm hoping that it will be as good to our next performer."

Federline's rap unsurprisingly included some choice lines about being a "superstar" and moving to "a new tax bracket." Surprisingly, the show-capping performance seems to be mildly well-received, with semi-praise begrudgingly heaped on the rapper for not making the performance the train wreck critics imagined--and maybe hoped for.

  • Jackass dude to write song about Jessica

ONLY a jackass would stoop to crude sexual innuendo about Jessica Simpson - and that's exactly what Chris Pontius, one of Johnny Knoxville's doofy daredevil stuntmen in the upcoming "Jackass: Number Two," has done.

A source tells us Pontius has penned and recorded a crude song about how fellow Jackass Bam Margera supposedly had sex with the busty blond singer - describing a kinky form of intercourse that can't be printed in a family newspaper.

Margera was rumored to have had a fling with Simpson under the nose of her then-hubby Nick Lachey. Speculation reached the boiling point early last year when Margera's dad, Phil, blurted out that his son and Simpson had slept together. A flustered Bam admitted he'd once been in the same bed with Simpson, but insisted he fell asleep and nothing sexual happened.

Pontius did not return our call, but Simpson's flack, Rob Shuter, dismissed the sleazy song's trash talk, telling Page Six: "There's no truth to it. Bam has been using Jessica's name to get himself attention for a long time."

"I walked up to the photographer and told him, 'What if I really had anorexia? What if I had a disease? How would you feel about saying such horrible things? He probably just wanted to get a rise out of me, but I'm a human being and he hurt my feelings."

On the B-side of her first number one single, Lily sings: "I wish my life was a little less seedy. Why am I always so greedy? I wish I looked like Cheryl Tweedy. I know I never will."

In response to the song, Cheryl heaped praise on the pop newcomer: "I'm really flattered Lily's written a track about me. But I don't know why she sings about wanting to be as pretty as me as she looks stunning. I'd like to look like her.

"I love her single and the way she wears trainers and gorgeous dresses. It's about time we had a really cool British girl out there on the music scene."

Unimpressed by the reaction to the track, Lily has now pointed out that her lyrics were not intended to be taken seriously.

She said: "I don't want to look like Cheryl Tweedy! It's tongue in cheek, it's meant to be ironic."

"Since she and Noel split she hasn't found lasting love. But she's taking control now and is determined to turn over a new leaf. She has also seen Kate come through rehab, so she knows she can do it, too," the source added.

  • Christina On Britney, Lance & Staying Dirrty

Don't call Christina Aguilera Xtina anymore. The pop princess tells the latest issue of HX magazine "I thought that was a cute nickname for the last record, but now the character for this record is 'Baby Jane.'"

While Aguilera channeled Xtina when she shed her wholesome teen pop image in 2002, the former Mousketeer isn't getting all Pollyanna on us and proclaims "Sexuality will always be a part of what I do."

As far as the endless comparisons to Britney Spears, Baby Jane says "I knew that eventually our bodies of work would differ. I think she's in a beautiful time in her life right now - she's a mother, and I think it's great."

Christina also revealed she was "shocked" when she heard Lance Bass had come out of the closet - shocked that it was such a big deal. "When I heard of it, I shrugged my shoulders and said, 'Good for him!'"

So now with her more Hollywood glam look has Christina hung up her "Dirrty" leather chaps for good? Don't bet on it. Aguilera jokes "When I'm 50 years old, hopefully I'll still be able to get those suckers on." So do we Christina. So do we.

Lead singer Gary Lightbody said: "We really did try to get to Seattle and then on to Portland! It became a personal quest of mine this morning, but Heathrow was against me (us) and we are now grounded in London with no luggage or backline. Believe me when I say that we are doing everything in our power to get to Boston for Tuesday's gig."

Boy George has started his five-day street cleaning community sentence for falsely reporting a crime.

The singer had joked "I've always been a scrubber" and took to the New York streets in relatively high spirits.

But, as he faced hoards of reporters in his fluorescent jacket and gloves, the 45-year-old quickly lost his temper. "This is supposed to be community service," barked the star, real name Paul O'Dowd. "You're just making it a nightmare, which just means it's for the media and not for me."

He denied accusations he was annoyed with the menial work, commenting: "My mum was a cleaner, my dad was a builder, know what I mean?"

He was ordered to complete the service after he called police to his house in the city last October then convicted of wasting police time earlier this year.

A New York sanitation department spokesman said he would serve a proper sentence. "A lot of tourists means a lot of street litter," he commented. "This is the epitome of community service. It's not like he's going to be working in an air conditioned office."

A source said: "Justin's been feeling really low of late and he wanted to go somewhere he could clear his head. He's been looking terrible at the moment. His skin's taken on a weird yellowy pallor. The Priory really is the best place for him."

A source revealed: "Before he got married, Kevin was sitting down with lawyers, discussing legal and financial issues.

"He was sitting sort of slumped over with a baseball cap over his eyes and a lawyer was talking about how he had to sign a pre-nup and Kevin looked sort of bummed out.

Paris Hilton has made it into the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records, but it may not be for a reason she'd particularly enjoy. While Britney Spears or Tom Cruise were probably somewhere close behind, Paris takes the crown for our favorite record ever -- Most Overrated Person.

A spokesperson for the book says it took its info from a number of polls. Readers voted on their least favorite and most overrated celebrity and Hilton's name kept coming up on top.

Other celebrities to make it to Guinness this year include Madonna with the highest earnings for a female singer in 2004 and The Rock for being the highest paid actor in a debut role for "The Scorpion King."

Playing to a crowd brimming with celebs like Cameron Diaz, Kate Bosworth, Spike Lee, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Tyra Banks, Ellen DeGeneres and partner Portia De Rossi, and ‘NSync pal Lance Bass, the singer unveiled a new Prince-flavoured sound.

Taking to the House of Blues stage as the theme tune to ‘Inspector Gadget’ played, Timberlake kicked off the show with his hit ballad ‘Cry Me A River’ before launching into a series of old favourites and new tunes.

"I'm sure you guys are hip to this already, but I'm gonna play some new songs for y'all. Hope you like 'em. If you don't, f*** you!" he said before launching into songs from ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’, due for release in mid September.

But it wasn’t just singing and dancing duties for the former boy band member. At various points during the show he took to playing keyboards and guitar in his backup band that featured two other guitarists and no DJ.

Equally surprising was the number of guest stars who joined him onstage.

Black Eyed Peas supreme and Timberlake producer will.i.am joined in for ‘Damn Girl’, while two members of Tennessee rappers Three 6 Mafia provided “some Memphis hip-hop” on an unnamed new track that saw the singer trying to out-rap the Oscar-winning pair.

Producer Timbaland, who worked extensively on the new album, showed up for ‘Promiscuous’, with Timberlake providing the vocals usually performed by Nelly Furtado.

Timbaland also appeared during the show’s climactic ‘SexyBack’ — Timberlake’s new single.

Timberlake appeared playful throughout the show, with the singer and his band throwing in snippets of hits like Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and the Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams’ between songs.

  • The Barkers divorce getting ugly

NO surprise last week when blink-182 drummer Travis Barker filed for divorce from his wife, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler. The couple, who star on MTV's "Meet the Barkers," have fought in public for months. One friend of Travis says he finally ended the marriage because "Shanna is never home . . . She parties every night, sleeps until 1 p.m. every day, and doesn't spend nearly enough time with the kids. And on top of that there have been rumors she hasn't been faithful. He's had it." Barker, via a rep, said, "I'm sad to say those allegations are true . . . My priority will remain my children." The couple have two kids together. But Moakler, via her rep, said: "I have been 100 percent faithful in my marriage and a devoted mother, two facts of which Travis is well aware. I still happen to be very much in love with Travis, and his using the media to take low blows at me isn't just embarrassing, it's hurtful. I feel he should be putting his family first instead of his pride." To which Barker responded, "The truth will prevail."

  • Playboy Prince Cops A Feel

PARTY-LOVING Princes William and Harry hugged drunkenly for the camera during a booze-fuelled night out with chums.

Royal heir William, 24, looked dazed and wide-eyed as the flash went off — while brother Harry leered merrily over his shoulder.

Harry was also snapped canoodling with pretty blonde Natalie Pinkham, while saucily groping her BOOB with one hand.

Meanwhile William was caught trying a more “tactful” approach with another party girl as they chatted in the background.

A fellow reveller at the club in Kensington said: “Harry was really going for it.

“He had been downing drink all night and was touchy-feely with everyone — especially Natalie. He had his hands all over her and was kissing her on the face. At one point he reached his arm around her and gave her a proper grope on her breast.

“She was very shocked but didn’t seem to mind in the slightest. I don’t suppose it’s every day an heir to the throne feels you up.

“He will probably be in big trouble with Chelsy now. She either hasn’t seen him behave like this or she’s the most understanding girlfriend in the world.”

Harry, 21, was also snapped planting a kiss on another girl.

Natalie, 27, has been a close pal for years. The politics graduate has dated England cricketer Kevin Pietersen and England rugby star Matt Dawson.

Two months ago Natalie stole down the steps of a flat’s stairwell at 5am after a boozy night to grab a kiss from the Prince.

  • Sheen & Richards Amicably Resolve Issues

The acrimony is apparently over for the once-coupled Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards. There has been an amicable resolution in the couple's divorce case, lawyers for Sheen and Richards announced Monday after meeting with a judge in chambers.

No judgment has been entered in the divorce.

Issues before the court were resolved during the meeting with Superior Court Judge Marjorie Steinberg, said Lance Spiegel, a lawyer for Sheen, and Neal R. Hersh, a lawyer for Richards.

The lawyers wouldn't elaborate on the issues resolved Monday. They also refused to say whether a restraining order Richards obtained against Sheen in April remained in effect.

Richards filed for divorce in March 2005, after three years of marriage.

A Sept. 12 hearing that had been scheduled for a child custody evaluation will not be held and there are no future court dates, Hersh said.

The restraining order was issued after Richards claimed Sheen abused prescription drugs, gambled compulsively and had been physically and verbally abusive.

Sheen, who turns 41 on Sept. 3, denied what he called "false allegations."

The restraining order directed Sheen to stay at least 300 yards away from the 35-year-old actress and their daughters Sam, 2, and Lola, 1. He is allowed one-day-a-week supervised visitation.

Sheen stars in the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men." His screen credits include "Platoon" and the "Hot Shots!" movies.

Richards appeared in "Wild Things" and "Starship Troopers."

  • Alex Curran Arrested After Brawl

Fiancée of Steven Gerrard and fully signed up member of the Wags Alex Curran has been arrested after an alleged brawl outside a Liverpool restaurant.

The sometime fashion columnist was reportedly involved in a fight between a group of men and women at the Shangri-La restaurant in the early hours of this morning.

The 23-year-old mother-of-two had been enjoying a night out with the Liverpool FC captain and two friends, but Gerrard had left the restaurant at the time of the alleged fight.

An 18-year-old woman is said to have sustained a black eye. Her friend told the Liverpool Echo: "It was horrible. We were just having a meal after a night out and there was a fight in the restaurant.

"My mate stood up and started screaming for them to stop fighting and one of the blokes came over to her and was really abusive. He was swearing and ranting and knocked her bag off the table.

"A couple of seconds later someone came over and shoved a bottle in her face."

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "We have arrested a 23-year-old woman, from Formby, on suspicion of assault.

"The arrest follows an incident at the Shangri-La restaurant on Victoria Street during the early hours of this morning."

A spokeswoman for Alex Curran, who has been released on bail, said: "This is now a matter for the police and we cannot make any further comment at this stage."

Gerrard and Curran have been engaged since 2004 and plan to marry next summer.

  • Keanu Stopped By Cops at LAX

Keanu Reeves was pulled over by Airport Police at Los Angeles International Airport today for a traffic violation, but escaped with only a warning.

It's not the biggest crime in the world certainly, but anything that goes down at airports these days is eventful. Reeves was pulled over for allegedly violating California Vehicle Code 21453(a) -- failing to stop at a signal or, in common parlance, blowing a red light. It happened at 3:00 p.m. PT. The cop did not issue a citation and let Reeves go with a warning.

It's unclear what the "Matrix" star was doing at the airport, although we know he was on the upper level which is for departing passengers.

A rep for Reeves could not be reached for comment.

  • Another Hot Paris Night

Nicole Richie famously said: "Paris Hilton could only ever love somebody like herself."

So it's no surprise that the 25-year-old Twit Girl was inseparable from fellow plastic, blonde porn star Jenna Jameson during a night out at LA's Hyde nightclub.

But it looked as if the heir head was a little bit too in love with Dave Navarro's new arm candy. The saucy pair held hands, dirty danced and then made a cabbie's night by canoodling in the back of his taxi.

Looks like there could be an interesting sequel to One Night In Paris in the pipeline.

  • Singer James' Fear For Sick Dad

James Morrison's dad is a penniless drunk who lives in squalor. Paul Catchpole walked out on James' mum Suzy when the talented singer was still just a young boy.

And after being tracked down he admitted that every day is an uphill struggle to try to beat the bottle.

He also revealed his now famous son has been calling him every other day - to check that his dad is still alive.

Eyes glazed and swaying from side to side in the doorway to his flithy one-bed flat, Paul said: "It always cheers me up when James rings. I love hearing what he's up to - especially as I don't get out much any more. Things really aren't good for me healthwise at the moment. I'm in a real bad way."

Former handyman Paul's health problems have been caused by years of alcohol abuse. He has tried desperatley to get a grip on it and millionaire-in-waiting James, whose debut album Undiscovered has become a No.1 hit has never lost hope that his dad will turn his life around.

Neighbours say they never see James, 21, who moved to Cornwall with his mum when Paul walked out. The star, who was born James Morrison Catchpole but now uses Morrison as his surname, lives in London. His single You Give Me Something has become a massive hit.

Isaacs said: 'It's based on a play about how these good men become Nazis - how reasonable, sophisticated people became Nazis. It (World War II Germany) wasn't a nation of evil people. It was a nation of people like you and me who read, listened to music and were ordinary human beings.'

Claire Sweeney was on fine form when she left London nightclub Chinawhite, despite dancing until the early hours.

And unlike most celebs who get caught on camera after a night on the lash, the 34-year-old was all smiles.

Claire deserved to let her hair down. She is working hard in West End stage show Guys and Dolls alongside Patrick Swayze.

Hollyoaks actress Roxanne McKee was also on a mission to party along with her fellow cast members at London's Aura nightclub.

The 25-year-old was celebrating her birthday and looked lovely in gold and brown.

The couple enjoyed a four-year-long romance in the early '90s, labelling it a "fiercely deep love", but their split in 1993 prompted the young actress to go through a period of solitary wallowing.

She revealed: "I was embarrassingly dramatic at the time. But you have to remember I was only 19 years old. I attempted being an alcoholic for two weeks, spending a lot of time in my hotel room, drinking screwdrivers from the mini-bar, smoking cigarettes and listening to Tom Waits."

  • Beyonce Cancels Visit To Britain

Beyonce Knowles has pulled out of a trip to the UK, following the terrorist threat uncovered by police.

The singer was due to travel across the Atlantic to promote her new single 'Deja Vu'. However, record executives have insisted she stays in the US until the danger has subsided.

A source said: "It's not a difficult decision to make in the light of the UK going to critical alert status. Beyonce's been told she's not to come to the country so soon after so many trans-Atlantic flights were threatened. It is a blow because she needs to get as much hype going around her new single as possible."

  • Farrell A Letdown Between The Sheets

Colin Farrell swept a young fan off her feet so quickly that they met at breakfast-time and made love three times before lunch.

The handsome actor's encounter with Woody Allen's French au pair Angelique Jerome came only hours before he waved to excited fans at the London premiere of the blockbuster movie.

But though Irish-born Colin was Angelique's movie idol before their lust-fuelled encounter, his performance left her less than impressed when all three bouts of hurried sex added up to only 10 minutes.

Angelique 24 - who looked after movie legend Woody's children for two years - said: "He has a great body and a charm that any woman would kill for. But he's all talk. Between the sheets, he is a let-down with only half a baguette in his lunchbox, if you know what I mean.

"He kept saying 'C'est bon (it's good), you're beautiful, c'est bon'. He sounded like James Blunt.

"Once he'd got what he fancied - in about 10 seconds flat - he just wanted to go to sleep."

Colin, 30, met Angelique 10 days ago on the set of Woody's new movie, now being filmed in London with Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In April she had quit as Woody's livein New York nanny to be a model in France, but the director is still a friend, so he let her on set early that morning to see her idol Colin.

She said: "He caught my eye straight away. He turned to me, stared deep into my eyes and whispered 'hi' with a wide smile. My knees turned to jelly and I knew immediately there was chemistry between us.

"He is clearly a man who knows what he wants. When he looks at you in that special way, no red-blooded woman could resist. I kept catching him looking at me and smiling.

WHEN he was shooting a scene with Ewan McGregor, I could tell they were talking about me between takes. They were giggling like schoolboys so I knew they were saying nice things."

During a break, Angelique asked to have her picture taken with Colin. She said: "He agreed like a shot, moving so close I could feel his breath on my neck and holding me tightly.

His touch made my skin tingle. "He asked me my name and when I told him he nuzzled my ear and said: 'Angelique, that's beautiful'. If it hadn't been Colin Farrell speaking, it might have sounded corny. But as it was, I couldn't believe my luck.

"I gave him my number and just 15 minutes later he sent me a text saying, 'What are you doing over the next couple of hours? I'm just gonna go back to the hotel and take it easy... wanna come by in a bit, we can play?' "I was so nervous when I knocked on the door of his suite at the Savoy Hotel. But he put me at ease, standing there in the doorway wearing loose-fitting pyjama bottoms and nothing else.

"He was covered in tattoos, which I love. He had one red heart on his left arm and a tribal design on his right. He smiled, hugged me, took my hand, walked me into the bedroom and asked me about myself, where I was from, and how old I was. He was funny and charming. But I could tell, just by looking at him, that he didn't want to chat. He was obviously excited. Pyjama bottoms don't leave much to the imagination.

"Moments later he kissed me hard on the mouth, grabbed me and threw me on to the bed. He tore at my clothes and kept saying how beautiful I was. When I was naked, he ran his eyes up and down my body, gasping with pleasure." The couple made love on the bed, against the bathroom wall and in the shower.

Angelique said: "He was enthusiastic and athletic. He was so keen to have me, he didn't want to wear any protection. He just said, 'It'll be OK, it'll be OK'. But for all his ardour, it was like he was reading from a text book, lurching from one position to another. He loved it when I climbed on top. He was cooing, 'C'est bon, c'est bon'. It's clearly the only French he knows.

"We made love three times but the actual sex only lasted 10 minutes in total. At one point he lifted me up and carried me to one side of the bed so we were both looking in his full-ength mirror. He said, 'Look how beautiful you are'.

"To be fair, he did try and give me pleasure, kissing me all down my body - but his heart wasn't really in it. I kept having to fake orgasms - one, two, three - to keep him happy and let him keep his dignity. It seemed the polite thing to do."

Despite Colin's bad-boy reputation - the Dublin-born actor once told Playboy magazine: "I've always been a firm believer that casual sex is a good thing" - Angelique says he seemed nervous, clumsy and unsure.

"He must have told me I was beautiful eight times, or more. And he was always looking me in the eye. I found that rather off-putting, as if I were some kind of school project. It was too clinical. He didn't at all come across as a sex god who had slept with countless woman. If I didn't know better, I could almost have thought it was his first time.

"Then he kissed me again and made it clear that it was time for me to leave. I asked if I had time to shower - I knew he had the premiere of Miami Vice that night and when I came out he was already talking on the phone. So I got dressed and stood by the door. I thought he might offer to pay for my taxi, but didn't. At least he promised he'd text me."

Angelique left the Savoy at 12.15pm - barely an hour and a quarter after arriving and just three hours after she and Colin had met.

When she checked her phone later that day she found a text message saying: "Hello Angelique, please call. I have tickets for tonight."

She went to the premiere but stayed in the background. "After the movie we went to a party at the Sanderson Hotel. He was in the VIP room talking to the crew. I came close to show him I was there. He winked at me, but he was talking and I didn't dare interrupt.

AT midnight I went back and he was sat next to the actress Gong Li. She was massaging his back and flirting with him.

She's lovely looking but she's 40 - nearly twice my age. I didn't see her as a threat.

"I spoke to Colin's assistant and asked how long it was before I could see Colin. He told me to wait until 2am, but I was tired and Gong was all over him so I left in a huff.

"I heard he had spent the night with Gong I was upset. I thought our time together had meant something. It certainly wasn't just the sex for me. Anything but."

  • 31st Toronto Film Festival

The 31st Toronto International Film Festival will have megawatt star power in September, thanks to a stellar lineup of films unveiled yesterday.

Filmfest officials added 12 prestige titles, four of them Galas, the rest Special Presentations. Nine are world premieres, four are North American premieres. The filmfest runs Sept. 7-16.

The potential guest stars -- although none is yet guaranteed to attend in person -- include Penelope Cruz, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Hugh Jackman, Pierce Brosnan, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rachel Weisz, Viggo Mortensen, Jessica Lange, Joan Allen, Kathy Bates and even the renowned British veteran Peter O'Toole.

One movie alone -- Emilio Estevez's much-anticipated Bobby, the story behind the scenes of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 -- features a noteworthy ensemble of Estevez, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Fishburne, Harry Belafonte, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Martin Sheen, Elijah Wood, Sharon Stone, Joshua Jackson, Nick Cannon, Shia LaBeouf, Heather Graham, Freddy Rodriguez and Christian Slater.

Another Gala -- the world premiere of Christopher Guest's latest wacko comedy For Your Consideration -- features his core troupe. Among them is his Canadian cadre, plus others. The roster includes Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Fred Willard, Bob Balaban, Parker Posey, Ricky Gervais (from the brilliant BBC version of The Office) and, no surprise, Guest himself.

Cruz is the star of Volver, Pedro Almodovar's splendid Cannes Film Festival triumph. It earned Cruz the best actress prize in tandem with five of her co-stars. The film, which will play as a Gala, is almost entirely about women and was inspired by Almodovar's mother and sisters and their friends.

Witherspoon, who is asserting a newfound power in Hollywood now that she is a best actress Oscar winner, is the producer of Mark Palanksy's Penelope. It is a fairytale-like modern fable that stars Christina Ricci, Richard E. Grant, Peter Dinklage and Catherine O'Hara.

Lopez, whose film career has been rocky since Selena (1997), has the potential for her best role in years in Leon Ichaso's El Cantante. She appears as the muse and the lover of real-life Puerto Rican salsa king Hector Lavoe. Lopez's husband, Marc Anthony, plays Lavoe in this tragic biopic, a Special Presentation.

Lange, Bates and Allen are the three leads in Christopher N. Rowley's Bonneville, a saga about three female friends who set out on a cross-America road trip in a 1966 Bonneville convertible. It will play as a Gala.

  • Ryan Phillippe Interview

You play John "Doc" Bradley, a medic who was one of the Iwo Jima flag-raisers captured in the famous photograph. Did you meet his son, James, who cowrote the book that the film is based on? I had some amazing moments with James Bradley on set. There's a moment in the film where Doc is wounded While he's on the ground, he hears someone screaming for a corpsman and crawls with shrapnel in his leg in rain over rock to find this guy. I looked over and saw James Bradley watching me do this really heroic thing that his father had done. He had tears in his eyes, and I started crying, and he gave me the thumbs-up.

I imagine Clint Eastwood took pains to get the period details just right. He would sometimes stage images that he remembered seeing in Time or Life. There were times where 500 guys were shooting guns and moving toward our enemy. You're always conscious of the fact that it's not real, but when the explosions are going off, it feels as close to the real thing as you could get. If a guy sprained his ankle, I'd tape it up. I had a life-size dummy in my hotel room that I could practice on, because with Mr. Easywood, he expects you to be ready. It was probably very strange the first ime the maid came to clean.

Were you at all interested in science or medicine in school? I was never the one to become a doctor, but I won an award in scienece class for brain surgery on a fetal pig.

You're making another film about war, Kimberley Peirce's Stop-Loss. It's loosely based on her brother. He was in Iraq. If I'm spending time away from my kids [he has two, with wife Reese Witherspoon], I want to be working on something that matters.

Do you have plans to write or direct? [Directing] is something I think I will do within the next year, but I'm not in a rush. I've written a couple things. I like the idea of people making mistakes. I love desperation; I think there's a lot of comedy that comes out of desperation. the best kind of film give you something ynew to think about. I don't want to sit in the theater for two hours and have this numb experience. I want to get pissed off.

  • Duchovny Ready To Play Mulder Again

Created by Chris Carter and co-starring Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, the show originally ran from 1993 through 2002 and spawned a 1998 film version, called "The X-Files."

Asked if a sequel is in the works, Duchovny said, "It's always on the horizon."

"I'm still very much in touch with Chris Carter, Gillian. Both Gillian and I are positive about it. It's not like we're running from it," he said. "There are some legal things that need to be resolved over at Fox."

Although no script has been written yet for a sequel, "There is an idea," Duchovny said.

The star of the new big-screen comedy, "Trust the Man," denied, however, reports he is planning to take over the role of Bruce Banner from actor Eric Bana in an upcoming sequel to the 2003 film, "Hulk."

"No," Duchovny said. "I don't know where that came from."

  • Lindsay Burns Paris

Lindsay Lohan has blasted former pal Paris Hilton in print after the socialite teamed up with Los Angeles-based oil heir Brandon Davis to poke fun at the actress' personal hygiene. Lohan insists she has never seen the video footage of partying Davis mocking her, while Hilton giggles at his side - but she has been told all about it. In the televised rant, Davis also attacks Lohan's lifestyle and her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, but now the actress is hitting back in the pages of fashion magazine Elle. She says, "I started getting texts from them. They'd be saying stuff that was said in the video." But it's Hilton who gets a bitchy verbal slap from loose-lipped Lohan - for her part in the footage. The actress adds, "Obviously, she's very comfortable making videos" - a catty reference to the hotel heiress' controversial 1 Night In Paris sex tape. It doesn't look like Lohan and Hilton will be hitting the club scene together any time soon - their last nightlife encounter, at New York's trendy Butter, almost ended in a fight after Hilton accused Lohan of trying to steal her on/off boyfriend Stavros Niarchos II. Lohan reveals, "She went off on this Stavros thing, grabbing my arm, saying, 'I can't believe you f**king called Stavros.'

  • Jessica Simpson Struggles With Love

Jessica Simpson's romance with Zach Braff isn't going too well.

The recently divorced "Newlyweds" star seemed "put off" by the advances of the "Scrubs" star at a recent event at the Pink Elephant in the Hamptons, according to reports in the new issue of The Star.

"He was flirting up a storm and being very aggressive," a source told the tabloid. "You could tell it grossed out Jessica and her friends. He was like a horny schoolboy."

None of the string of hotties that Simpson has been linked with is panning out. She "blindsided" her "Employee of the Month" co-star, Dane Cook, by calling him June 22 and saying they should split up, according to the Star. Reps for the two have denied that they were ever an item, but gossips insist that they've secretly dated. And Simpson's fling with Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has apparently flopped.

"Jessica is lonely and needy," a source told Star. "She's having a hard time dealing with the fact that [ex-husband] Nick [Lachey] is in love [with MTV's Vanessa Minnillo]."

  • Jack Black To Host VMAs

The MTV Music Video Awards are about to get a dose of Jack Black.

The actor-slash-rocker will host this year's version of the anything-can-happen extravaganza, set for Aug. 31, MTV announced Thursday.

"Prepare yourself for a rip snortin' humdinger," Black said. "I am Jables, hear me roar."

The awards will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York. Performers include Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Panic! at the Disco and Ludacris.

Black, 34, is the "perfect mix of comedy, rock, irreverence and star power," MTV President Christina Norman said in a statement.

Black's films include "Nacho Libre," "King Kong" and "School of Rock." He'll next be seen with his Tenacious D bandmate, Kyle Gass, in the semi-autographical comedy "Tenacious D in `The Pick of Destiny,'" slated for release Nov. 17.
