The 26-year-old said: “My agent inundated writer/director Craig Brewer with photo shoots I’d done that are pure sex shoots.”

Ten bands will play in all, with the gig to be screened live on the BBC.

X Factor auditionee Juliana Charlton has hit back at Simon Cowell's "cruel" and "rude" comments.

The 21-year-old, who was labelled Mariah Scary on Saturday's show after performing Carey's Hero, now wants another chance to prove herself.

"I couldn't bear to watch on Saturday, because I'm no longer like that," she said. "The audition was in May. I've since lost three stone and am more confident. They should hear me now."

Beckhams May Be Sued Over Party Snub

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-08-21 - 16:11:26

A man who paid £100,000 to attend the Beckhams' pre-World Cup party has now threatened to sue the couple.

Dave West, 61, splashed out at a charity auction for the NSPCC in the hope that he would be able to mingle with guests such as Robbie Williams and Wayne Rooney. However, West claims that he refused to attend the bash after the Beckhams' staff "patronised" him in a phone call.

"I paid the money in good faith," Dave said. "They just looked down their noses at me. They told me I couldn't even mingle with the other guests.

"This guy talked about everything, including the dress code. I felt I would have been unwelcome and treated badly."

West says that he will sue the Beckhams unless they agree to hand over a further £100,000 to the NSPCC.

A spokesperson for the couple said: "It's in the hands of lawyers."

Girls Aloud Star Gets Close To DJ

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-08-21 - 16:02:53

Sarah Harding was spotted getting close to DJ Greg Burns this weekend.

The Girls Aloud star, who has also been linked to T4 host Steve Jones and footballer Paolo Vernazza this summer, flirted with Burns after playing at Chelmsford.

A source said: "After Sarah performed, she went back stage and spotted Greg at the Virgin Radio VIP bar. They got chatting and immediately hit it off."

However, the singer's antics did not impress Steve, who was also at the festival. A friend of the presenter added: "Even though they are not an 'exclusive' couple, it was a bit off for Sarah to flaunt another bloke like that."

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-08-21 - 15:54:42

Lily Allen clashed with Peaches Geldof at the V Festival this weekend.

The Smile singer allegedly confronted Peaches after hearing that she had branded her a "cokehead".

An onlooker told a newspaper: "It was disgusting. Peaches was watching the Cuban Brothers with her boyfriend when Lily spotted her and stormed right over. She got in really close behind Peaches and gobbed on the back of her shoes before walking off."

Lily accused Peaches' father Bob of being a "hypocrite" on her Myspace page earlier this year.

Bedingfield "Too Boring" For America

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-08-21 - 15:47:06

Natasha Bedingfield has been advised by her record company that she needs to spice up her image if she wants to achieve success in America.

The singer made the move to the States in an attempt to repeat her chart success there, but executives fear her clean-cut persona will be too boring for America's oversexed pop industry.

She said: "I've moved from London to Los Angeles because I want to be an international star. But, to achieve that, my record company tells me I need a bit of scandal in my life."

"I can tell you, I was shocked. Maybe I should steal something from a supermarket. If I shoplift I could join Winona Ryder's club," the star joked.

Busta Rhymes Arrested For Assault

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-08-21 - 15:40:26

Busta Rhymes has been arrested for assaulting a man after performing at the Heineken AmsterJam Festival.

The rapper was taken into custody with two members of his entourage as they attempted to leave Randalls Island in New York where the show was being held, the New York Daily News reports.

Details regarding the assault remain unclear, but the police apparently took the opportunity to question Rhymes about another incident in February, when his bodyguard Israel Ramirez was murdered while on the set for the rapper's music video.

A source in the police department commented: "I don't know if this is normally something he would even be arrested for, but his bouncer was killed and he didn't want to cooperate. This is our way of dealing with it."
