Rapper Fabolous is in stable condition after being shot early Tuesday, police said. The rapper, whose legal name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a male with a gun approached him at a Manhattan parking garage, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said.

Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon is a dramatic chronicle of Chinese history from 184 to 280 AD, during which China split into three kingdoms: the Wei, Shu and Wu. Maggie Q will play Cao Ying, the granddaughter of the warlord Cao Cao, emperor of the kingdom of Wei. Shooting of the project will start next year in China.

Set during at the time of the Watergate scandal, the historical drama focuses on the wife of Richard Nixon's attorney general John Mitchell. Played by Meryl Streep, Martha Mitchell was responsible for bringing to light her husband's political wrongdoings.

Annette Bening and Gywneth Paltrow are already on board for the film, which will be Murphy's follow-up to Running with Scissors. Also featuring Bening, Scissors is based on the memoirs of Augusten Burroughs, and his childhood with an alcoholic father and bipolar mother.

The director told /Film of Dirty Tricks: "It's about the women in Watergate, it's very different than Ron Howard's upcoming Frost/Nixon. I love Ron Howard's movie. That was about what a nightmare Nixon was to get the rights for the Frost interview, and the negotiations back and fourth for that. Mine is really much more about one of the first Cassandra's of our century."

The Ordinary Boys will be performing a series of in-store gigs this week in order to promote their new single.

Australian rock band Jet have been forced to cancel their forthcoming European tour because their lead singer Nic Cester has caught laryngitis.

The band had to cancel gigs previously due to Cester's illness, and it seems that he has not fully recovered.

According to the band's official website the frontman saw a doctor in London on Friday, who told him to rest his voice after discovering nodules on his vocal chords.

A statement from Chris Cester read, "There isn't much more I can say than that we're sorry we had to do this. Everyone is extremely frustrated, no one more so than Nic. I know everyone in the band was looking forward to this leg of the tour immensely".

The singer is currently in London undergoing specialist treatment.

The infamous feud between Robbie Williams and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has been reignited after a song written by the ex-Take That member has emerged.

The song is based on John Lennon's famous hit 'Give Peace a Chance' and insults both the Gallagher brothers openly about their looks and careers.

According to a source said: "Robbie recorded the song with songwriting partner Guy Chambers...They had two number one albums under their belt at the time and were feeling pretty confident.

"The song ended up on the cutting room floor when they realised the almighty stink it would cause."

Madonna's adopted baby son has reportedly flown out of his home country Malawi.

The singer completed the adoption process earlier this week, and a UK immigration official confirmed that the boy will be allowed into the country. The singer has come under scrutiny for the incident, with many claiming the adoption was illegal, as Madonna is not a Malawian citizen.

Both Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie returned to Britain this weekend, having completed their part of the legal process. Baby David Banda was seen accompanied by the singer's bodyguard as he left Malawi.

The couple have earmarked November as the month to hold the ceremony, with the 23rd the widely touted date. The pair recently spent a weekend in Rome, leading to their venue choice.

A source close to the couple confirmed: "The wedding is scheduled for mid November. Kate had looked at various hotels but the venue is set to be George Clooney's villa."

ABC has picked up freshman series Brothers & Sisters for a full season, the network announced today. The drama series stars Calista Flockhart, Rachel Griffiths, and Sally Field.

Brothers and Sisters airs Sunday nights behind Desperate Housewives in the time slot previously occupied by Grey's Anatomy, which moved to Thursdays. According to ABC, Brothers and Sisters is the top new program on any night in the 10 p.m. hour and the second-highest-rated new series of the season among Adults 18-49.

"Brothers & Sisters is a great addition to our Sunday-night lineup and has given us a strong complement to Desperate Housewives," said ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson.

Brothers premiered strongly after receiving negative buzz over the summer, with some critics questioning whether it was the "troubled show of the season" due to cast shuffles and backstage drama. After a strong start, the series has eroded 21 percent in the ratings.

Brothers joins the elite full-season ranks of freshman series Ugly Betty, Jericho, and Heroes. ABC made a similar decision when post-Desperate show Boston Legal was slumping in the ratings--the net ordered a full season of Boston, then moved it to another night and replaced it with then midseason Grey's Anatomy.

Celebrity Big Brother bosses have nicked Adam Ant from telly rival I'm A Celebrity. Both reality shows were hotly pursuing the troubled pop star.

But BB bosses turned inti "Dandy Highwayman" to steal Adam - who battled manic depression - away from the jungle.

Fallen idol Adam - real name Stuart Goddard had been offered huge sums by both shows to sign on the dotted line. But the star has told ITV chiefs that he won't be heading into the jungle next month.

Instead the chart buster of the late 70s and early 80s has agreed to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in January.

A source revealed: "It was like walking on the moon. The band expected snow but it was all rocky terrain with geysers that threw hot water in the air whenever they felt like it. They had safety people on hand to brief them. But they decided to step up the security and fencing around the set after finding that fans had manoeuvred their way through. There was even a photographer who realised he was on to a money spinner and hid behind a rock trying to snap them. Every measure to keep anyone burning themselves was then taken."

Take That's new album Beautiful World, released in November and their The Ultimate Tour - Live In Manchester DVD, out October 23, will fill many Christmas stockings.

Ex-Eastenders star Brooke Kinsella is to be thrown to the lions in a new reality TV show. The 23-year-old, who played Kelly Taylor in the soap, will go to Africa to train to be a safari ranger, living in the bush and handling wild animals.

Brooke will be joined on BBC's Safari school by Holby City's Jeremy Sheffield, The Bill's Paul Usher, Blair McDonough from Neighbours, Olympic athlete Jamie Baulch and former BBC news reader Jan Leeming.

The celebs will spend four weeks at Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa for the show, screened next year as part of the BBC Saving Planet Earth season.
