Scarlett Johansson gets a little S&M-ish in the October 2006 issue of Flaunt Magazine. Scarlett, 21, poses with Dita Von Teese — burlesque goddess, writer, fetish model, culturual historian wife of Marilyn Manson. Scarlett on Dita: “I appreciate Dita’s work. I think she’s incredibly beautiful, really talented. It’s amazing the way she transforms herself. It’s a creation all its own. I’ve collected and seen some of her books and pictures, and it’s really a dream come true to be a part of that. I think it’s unbelievably stimulating. That kind of visual, that fetish imagery tastefully done is so erotic, and to be able to evoke that in a photograph, I think that’s really something. That is what art is, its purpose.”

Natalie Portman Wears Audrey Hepburn’s Dress
@ 2006-10-08 – 09:05:34
Natalie Portman wears the iconic black column dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1961’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the “Secrets of Stylish Women” November 2006 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on newsstands Oct. 20.
Natalie (often called the modern-day Hepburn) channels Holly Golightly by showing off the back of the dress, which was designed by Givenchy. Pearls are draped around her neck. Her hair, set with a black headband, is swept up into a stylish updo in an update of Golightly’s signature beehive.
Natalie, 25, on wearing Audrey Hepburn’s dress: “I did feel very elegant suddenly. I mean, you can’t possibly measure up to Audrey Hepburn; there’s no comparison. But the elegance that she exuded was transmitted to the dress, you know, the feeling, the emotion of it… I was so nervous that I wasn’t going to fit. Everyone kept telling me how small it was, and I’m not the type who can starve myself. I’m small, but it’s not like I’m see-through.”

No Dobby in Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix
@ 2006-10-08 – 08:37:07
Toby Jones, the man who voiced Dobby in the the second Potter flick, recently told MTV that the ex-house-elf won't be making an appearance in Film 5, even though kreacher will
"I know that the filmmakers have a problem with each new film because the books are getting longer - there's so much to include in them," Jones remarked.
While Dobby's absence will not shock fans who have been following the films closely, it does open up some plot questions. In the book, it is Dobby who both divulges to Harry the secret of the Room of Requirement (where Harry and the other members of "Dumbledore's Army" meet to practice forbidden defensive spells), and materializes to warn Harry that his secret hideout is no longer safe from the prowling eyes of the increasingly powerful Ministry of Magic informant (and new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher), Dolores Umbridge. With Dobby's absence, it is unclear how these matters will be handled in the film.

Jolie disappointed at not filming in Pakistan
@ 2006-10-08 – 08:32:21
Angelina Jolie says she is disappointed they are not shooting "A Mighty Heart," a film about U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl, in Pakistan where he was abducted and murdered in 2002.
Security concerns there caused officials to suggest they work elsewhere. So with the exception of a few background scenes shot in Pakistan, "A Mighty Heart" will be made in the western Indian city of Pune.
The Oscar-winning U.S. actress plays the slain reporter's wife, Mariane. Pitt, Jolie's partner, is the movie's producer.
"I am disappointed that we could not shoot the film in Pakistan, a country that I love and have visited three times," said Jolie in a statement issued on Saturday by Trevor Neilson, an adviser to the couple.
"They talked with people from all levels of the Pakistan government and there's certainly no hard feelings. But it became clear that it was preferable to film in India," Neilson told Reuters by telephone.
He said there was no release date set for "A Mighty Heart," which is being made by Pitt's production company, Los Angeles-based Plan B.
The film is based on a book by Mariane Pearl, "A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl."
Pearl, a 38-year-old reporter with The Wall Street Journal, was kidnapped in Karachi in early 2002 while researching a story in the aftermath of Sept. 11. A videotape of Pearl having his throat cut was later circulated by his killers.
English filmmaker Michael Winterbottom, famed for such war-based films as "Welcome to Sarajevo" and "The Road to Guantanamo," is directing the movie.
In her statement, Jolie said "A Mighty Heart" is about "cross-cultural understanding and the values that people of all faiths share. This is not a film about terrorism or conflict, it is a story of people of all faiths working together to find the truth."
Pune, a metropolitan area with more than 4 million people, is in Maharashtra state, about 80 miles (130 km) southeast of Mumbai.
