Previously, Slater was seeking joint custody of their 5-year-old daughter Eliana and 7-year-old son Jaden, but it's unclear how that issue was resolved.

  • Britney Ditches Paris as Awards Show Co-Host

After nearly a week of clubbing, partying and shopping in LA with new BFF, Paris Hilton, Us has learned exclusively that Britney Spears has abruptly pulled out of co-hosting with the heiress on the Fox Billboard Music Awards, scheduled to air live on December 4.

"She pulled out," confirms a source with Fox. "She didn't give a reason."

The source tells Us that Hilton is still a possible host despite losing Spears as a sidekick. Other sources confirm that as recent as this morning, agents for both Hilton and Spears were hashing out the final terms of the contract, but at 5pm today, Spears had backed out of negotiations.

"We really don't know the reason. But we're disappointed she backed out." says a Fox source.

The source says the show may go on with Hilton as solo host, or it may feature comedian (and Fox sitcom star) Brad Garrett, given he's at the top of the show producer's wish list.

At press time, neither Hilton or Spears' reps were available for comment.

  • Kirsten Dunst Sperminated

Kirsten Dunst could be pregnant! Star magazine claims that she has a baby bump, back pain, morning sickness and an unnatural interest in the pregnancies of her coworkers:

Kirsten Dunst has been generating rumors that she may be the next actress to be sporting a baby bump on the set of her upcoming film Spiderman 3. She has been spotted wearing baggy clothing, ordering big boxes of sweet chocolaty treats, and overheard complaining of lower back pain and nausea during filming.

Her rep denies that these tell-tale signs are signaling that Kirsten is a mom-to-be, but her interest in co-star Tobey Maguire’s newborn daughter suggests otherwise.

Kirsten has become fascinated by details about the pregnancy of Tobey’s fiancée, Jennifer Meyer, asking how she dealt with morning sickness. When Tobey replied that Jennifer felt awful throughout the entire nine months, Kirsten just groaned, “Oh great!"

If Kirsten is anticipating her own nine-month struggle, fans wonder, who’s the daddy? Kirsten dated her Marie Antoinette costar Jason Schwartzman briefly and recently announced her relationship with Orlando Bloom.

But Kirsten was seen with former-love Jake Gyllenhaal this month too. They weren’t cuddling or all over each other, so maybe the old flames simply reunited to share some new baby news!

  • hush hush

Which New York Met was so appreciative of a stunning blond stripper at Headquarters that he walked her out to his car, pulled a baseball jersey out of his trunk and gave it to her? The stripper, obviously not a sports fan, sold the uniform to one of her other customers later that night.

  • Guns 'N' Roses lose their support act

Guns 'N' Roses have lost the support act for their fifteen-date tour after only one night.

The Eagles of Death Metal reportedly walked out of the tour after a run in with both the audience and Guns 'N' Roses frontman Axl Rose.

At their opening performance in Cleveland the band were apparently booed by the crowd. Then, during the main act's set, Axl Rose referred to the band as "The Pigeons of Shit Metal".

In a statement by the Eagles of Death Metal, lead singer Jesse Hughes said: "At first the audience refused to welcome us to the jungle, but by the time we took our final bow it had become paradise city.

"Although Axl tried to November rain on our parade, no sweet child o' mine can derail the EODM night train. We say live and let die."

The Eagles of Death Metal are currently set to headline their own tour, and GNR are still searching for a replacement band.

  • Princes Will & Harry plan concert for Diana

Britain's Princes William and Harry plan to stage a concert with performers including Elton John next year to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of their mother Princess Diana, a newspaper reported Sunday.

The Sunday Mirror reported that the brothers would arrange the event, scheduled to be held July 1, 2007 at London's renovated Wembley Stadium, which can hold around 90,000 spectators.
Proceeds would be donated to British homeless charity Centrepoint and other causes supported by Diana, the newspaper reported. It was expected to be screened live on television.

Paddy Harverson, spokesman for Prince Charles, who divorced Diana in 1996, could not immediately confirm the report.

"We're considering a number of options on how best to commemorate next year. William and Harry will make a decision in due course," Harverson said.

Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper reported that the princes planned to approach Madonna, Beyonce and Kylie Minogue to perform at the event.

Diana, 36, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, 42, and their driver Henri Paul, 41, all died when their car crashed at high speed in the Pont d'Alma tunnel in Paris, France, on Aug. 31, 1997.

Retired senior judge Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss is holding an inquest into the deaths and is awaiting a report on the crash by Lord John Stevens, former head of London's Metropolitan Police.
Rumors and conspiracy theories continue to swirl around Diana's death, despite a French judge's 1999 ruling that the crash was an accident. An investigation later concluded that Paul had been drinking and was driving at high speed.

Stevens said in January that his investigation was "far more complex than any of us thought," but did not specify what he meant.

  • Peter Jackson Will Do The Hobbit

LORD OF THE RINGS director PETER JACKSON WILL direct the highly-anticipated prequel, The Hobbit.

There was uproar last week when New Line Cinema bosses told the King Kong director he was "no longer needed" in the making of The Hobbit and another unnamed Lord Of The Rings prequel.

Jackson - originally given the boot due to legal disputes over royalties - now has the thumbs up thanks to film producer SAUL ZAENTZ (One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest).

Zaentz, who owns the screen rights to Tolkien Enterprises, said: “(The Hobbit) will definitely be shot by Peter Jackson.

“Next year, The Hobbit rights will fall back to my company.

“I suppose that Peter will wait because he knows that he will make the best deal with us. And he is fed up with the studios.

“To get his profit share on the Rings trilogy, he had to sue New Line. With us, he knows that he will be paid fairly and artistically supported without reservation.”

  • Jason Orange in tears after vocal solo

Take That singer Jason Orange was left in tears after recording the solo vocals for a new album track.

The group were reportedly in Los Angeles finishing their new record Beautiful World when the singer broke down.

After recording the lead solo vocals for 'Wooden Boat' Orange apparently began crying because he was so proud of his efforts.

He has come under much scrutiny as a singer in the past, and was accused by journalists of only being in Take That because of his skills as a dancer.

Take That have offered their record label their money back if the album is poorly received - a first for the music industry.

  • Bunton would agree to Spice Girls reunion

Emma Bunton has revealed that she would be willing to reunite with the Spice Girls in the future.

However the singer, who is currently appearing on BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, has warned fans not to expect new material any time soon because the girls are all too busy.

"I would definitely be up for making another record or doing a tour with the girls," she told the Sunday Mail. "But I don't think it's going to happen - well, not in the immediate future.

"That's not because of any underlying reasons fans are not aware of. It's just that our lives have changed since then with children, husbands and other commitments. It would be great to reform the Spice Girls but it would be difficult at this time to actually get us all in the same place at the same time."

The third film in the franchise is due to hit the cinemas in May next year.

  • Orlando Bloom Coming Between Keira Knightley & Her Boyfriend

Rumour has it that Keira Knightley’s relationship with boyfriend Rupert Friend may be on the rocks.

The couple have been spending most of their time together in the States while Knightly films the third film instalment of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’; however, Rupert is said to be angry about being so low down on his girlfriends list of priorities.

A friend said: “Keira’s a really loving girlfriend but she’s so insanely busy with work. “She’s done everything in her power to make Rupert feel important but he still complains that he doesn’t get enough attention and it’s causing real friction.”

“When Keira was filming the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie she flew her mum out as they’re very close and she wanted to spend some time with her. “Rupert often turned up as he was filming nearby but he complained that they didn’t get enough time alone.

“He went out with the Pirates cast to the Le Deux restaurant in LA and although it started out as a nice evening he ended up rowing with Orlando Bloom.

“Orlando was calling Keira by her surname which Rupert didn’t like. Then Orlando wanted the party to go on somewhere else, while Rupert was happy to stay put.

“It all seemed very petty but it annoyed Keira as she doesn’t like her personal life spilling over into her work. She’s very professional and won’t let anyone mess that up.”

Looks like this relationship is over…shame that Kirsten Dunst has already snagged Orlando Bloom.

  • Hoffman wants to play James Bond

Dustin Hoffman has confessed that he would like to take on the role of James Bond in a future film.

The Oscar-winning actor has admitted that none of the Bond actors have matched his expectations of how Ian Fleming's spy should be played on screen.

Asked by Parkinson about roles that he hasn't yet played but would like to try, Hoffman replied: "Oh there’s a few, yeah, James Bond! Because I don’t think he’s ever been played correctly!

"When you get a part and you’re an actor you look at the frame of the part and it’s defined, you're supposed to play what it says it is - no one has ever played him for what he is - he's an assassin, he'll kill anybody that he's told to kill and he doesn’t care who it is!

"He'll screw any girl jumping off the curb, he's a womaniser, he doesn't really like women, he bangs them once and that's it!"

"Ben and Siobhan are not together. Ben is too footloose and fancy-free, while Siobhan is a real career girl," Siobhan's mother Therese told the Sunday Mirror. "He has hordes of girls after him. He isn't the sort of person to get tied down and Siobhan is too busy doing her own thing.

"She is building up a really good acting career for herself. Neither had a lot of time for a relationship. They don't really speak to each other any more. It is difficult because most of the time they are in different time zones."

  • Heroes & Prison Break stay strong

  • Take That & Westlife No. 1 on U.K. charts

As their reunion album 'Beautiful World' was being released by Polydor Monday (Nov. 27), Take That were celebrating a new No. 1 single, as the lead track "Patience" climbed from 4 to 1 on the singles chart. On the album survey, blockbuster new collections by Oasis, the Beatles and U2 were all upstaged by Irish hitmakers Westlife, whose 'The Love Album' (S/Sony BMG) opened at No. 1.

"Patience" becomes Take That`s ninth U.K. No. 1, 10 years and nine months since the eighth, a cover of the Bee Gees` "How Deep Is Your Love," and almost 13-and-a-half years since they first topped the list with "Pray." Emma Bunton, formerly a member of another of the Spice Girls, had the big climber in the top 10, vaulting from 24 to 3 with her cover of Petula Clark`s 1964 pop standard "Downtown." The new version, released by 19 via Universal, is this year`s official song of the BBC`s Children In Need appeal.

There was little other significant movement in the top 10, with Girls Aloud`s "Something Kinda Ooh" (Fascination/Polydor) and Razorlight`s "America" (Vertigo) both climbing again, from 12 to 9 and from 14 to 10 respectively.

New entries outside the top 10 included Nelly Furtado`s "All Good Things (Come to An End)" (Geffen) at No. 13, Red Hot Chili Peppers` "Snow (Hey Oh)" at No. 16, the Feeling`s "Love It When You Call" (Universal Island) at No. 18 and Booty Luv`s "Boogie 2nite" (Hed Kandi) at No. 19.

Westlife`s triumph represents their sixth chart-topping album and was achieved despite media speculation last week that the No. 1 spot would be a race between Oasis` 'Stop The Clocks' compilation (Big Brother) and the Beatles` 'Love' (Apple/Parlophone). Those two heavy hitters came onto the chart at No. 2 and No.3 respectively, leaving U2`s new 'U218 Singles' collection (Mercury) with a No. 4 debut. George Michael`s 'Twenty Five' (Aegean/Sony BMG), which arrived at No. 1 last week, fell to No. 5.

On the composite European sales charts, Michael`s 'Twenty Five' opened at the top of the European Top 100 Albums chart with initial pan-European shipments of close to 450,000, according to the label. "Smack That" (Universal) by Akon featuring Eminem climbed from 6 to 1 on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles tally.

  • Jessica Biel & Derek Jeter Heat Up Las Vegas

Jessica Biel and Derek Jeter spent the weekend after Thanksgiving cozying up all over Las Vegas.

At Wynn Las Vegas's Tryst nightclub Saturday night, the pair snuck kisses at the VIP table they shared with Jeter's New York Yankees teammates Alex Rodriguez and Jason Giambi.

The next evening, Jeter, 32, and Biel, 24, played blackjack at Palms Casino Resort's Mint Lounge before dinner with two friends at the Palms' Nine restaurant.

They capped off the night with a visit to Hard Rock's Body English nightclub, where they snuggled, traded pecks on the cheek and were in general "very lovey dovey" in their VIP booth, says a clubgoer.

The duo have been spotted out before: At Social Hollywood on Nov. 15, "They looked like they were on a date," according to one onlooker. But asked later if he was single, Jeter said, "Hell, yes!"

A rep for Jeter had no comment; Biel's rep did not return calls for comment.

  • Friends Say They're Shocked by Pam-Kid Rock Split

As the news spread about Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock's mutual divorce filings after less than four months of marriage, friends have expressed their support – and their surprise.

Denise Richards, who just finished working with Anderson on the movie Blonde and Blonder in Vancouver, said: "My thoughts are with her and her boys. Pam is a very strong woman and will get through this difficult time."

Traver Rains and Richie Rich, the New York City-based designers behind the fashion line Heatherette – who designed the dress Anderson wore at her St. Tropez wedding in July – say they were caught off guard by the news.

Rich says he spoke with Anderson recently and she showed no signs anything was amiss in the marriage.

What made them work so well? "They're very energetic, they have that glow, that sparkle," says Rich. "Beyond Hollywood, they're such a good combination. They were such lovebirds.

He recalls, "She was so excited getting her dress and about St. Tropez. The rock star and the sex goddess – it's hot. They don't come along like them very often."

"I know Pamela's obsessed with her kids," says Rains. "They're always at the forefront of everything she's thinking about." Echoes Rich: "They share the love of kids."

Anderson has two sons, Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 8, with her ex-husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. Rock has a 13-year-old son, Bob Jr., with former flame Kelley South Russell.

"Everyone thinks Pamela's just a bombshell, but she's a mom going to soccer practice," says Rich. "When I met him, Kid Rock was flying home to go to a chorus concert with his kid. It's the best of both worlds."

"I think that's what made the deal with the whole marriage – Pamela wouldn't have married him if he wasn't for his kids and vice versa," he adds. "Their kids come first."

  • Paris & Britney's Party-Packed Holiday Week

Whatever else they had to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears certainly seemed glad to have each other around.

The pair, who hung out in Las Vegas the previous weekend, hit the clubs together in Los Angeles almost every night over the holiday week and even went shopping in Malibu together with Spears's son Sean Preston in tow on Saturday evening.

They kicked off their girl-time marathon on Tuesday, when Spears, 24, went to a post-American Music Awards party Hilton, 25, hosted at her West Hollywood home. The following night, they were spotted at Teddy's at the Roosevelt Hotel in matching leopard-print outfits. (Spears's estranged husband, Kevin Federline, was hosting an album party across town at Republic the same night.)

On Friday, Hilton left her sister Nicky and friends at the nightclub Les Deux to pick up Spears. The pair stopped at Hyde Lounge before eventually heading back to Les Deux just before close.

Finally, on Saturday night, after their shopping trip with Sean Preston, the duo were back at Hyde partying with the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"Paris was acting like Britney's boyfriend," says a source who saw them at Hyde on Friday. "She opened doors for her, held her hand, and even had her arm around Britney's lower back. Britney happily accepted Paris' friendly gestures."

Spears filed for divorce from Federline earlier on Nov. 7 after two years of marriage.

  • Carson Daly Interview

We don't read about you in the gossip pages much anymore.
Isn't it great? There is a God.

    Well, where have you been?
I'm trying to re-enter the human race. All of my rock 'n' roll living at MTV and my fast-paced public relationships – a lot of the press that people associated me with was tied in with all of that. And as I got a little bit older and moved on to NBC I thought, "I've gotta grow up here."

Has Last Call changed since your move to L.A. last year?
We shoot on the NBC lot, which is completely different form shooting on the Saturday Night Live set in New York. You're constantly reminded that you work in TV-land. You drive onto the lot and see people dressed like pilgrims, and the cast of Days of Our Lives, and all the big stars going into the Tonight Show. We share a building with Ellen (DeGeneres). It's been really good for our show.

Has NBC committed to giving you Conan's slot when he takes over The Tonight Show in 2009?
No. They've been crazily supportive of us, (and) we've made it clear to them if there is ever a change we would love to be considered for an earlier time slot. We just try to do the best job we can. If it's meant to be it's meant to be.

You're about to celebrate five years, right?
It's crazy. When I first launched Last Call, I was still doing TRL and running from MTV to NBC, (so) it feels like it's only been on a couple of years. But we're thrilled that we've lasted five years. I'm starting to get more comfortable doing things like jokes at the top in the form of a monologue, and we have a house band, and we've been getting really good guests for our time slot.

    Like who?
We had Lance Armstrong on recently. That was a real thrill for me, being a cycling fan. We've tried to embrace up-and-coming bands. Panic at the Disco! actually made their debut on our show. That's really nice.

What exactly is It's Your Show?
We've been around three months now and we have thousands of videos, and we're pulling the best ones and creating a TV show to put them all on TV. The idea is: How do we take these amateur video makers and focus them? So we present challenges, and offer toolkits with audio, or video footage from NBC shows, and say, 'Here. Use this stuff, and go make something. If it's good we'll pay you, and give you your 15 minutes of fame on television.'

And you're hosting NBC's New Year's Eve special again this year.
We're doing a pre-show on MSNBC, CNBC and Bravo, and then about 11:30, NBC will pick us up in progress and the show will officially start. And then we'll stream the whole thing live on NBC.com. People are watching in many different forms now, and we want to be sure to reach them.

As you're getting a little older, is it harder to stay in touch with youth culture?
I don't think so. The 16-year-old girls aren't the sole demographic that I'm concerned with, like I once was at TRL. Pop culture is a hobby to me. I love music, I love technology.

  • Ricky Martin: Ocean Drive’s Coverboy

Ricky Martin is Ocean Drive Espanol’s coverboy for the December 2006 issue! Ricky’s last tattoo was done during one recent visit to Puerto Rico. It’s a series of symbols in Hebrew Aramaic, “The Lord’s Prayer” in spiral form. Here are some choice excerpts from the interview thanks to my sub-par translation skills:

On his morning rituals: “Clearly. Generally, I wake up early and I go to Starbucks. They know me there and they have the newspaper waiting for me, my coffee and my cinnamon roll. They are my family. Later, I go away to the gym and depending on how it is that day, I go study. I continue to practice capoeira (martial art of Brazil). I don’t go crazy training six hours daily like before anymore. I just go to the class.”

On following religion: I really like the Buddhist philosophy but that doesn’t mean that I am of the religion. If I subscribe to Buddhism, I can’t be of anything else. They limit to you in many aspects, and I am not going to follow those rules. I believe that everybody has the right to decide what makes him/her happy. I am not one to say what is better and which is worse in terms of faith. According to the teachings of Buddhism, the worst thing than you can do to your karma is to say to someone else that their faith is bad.

  • Penelope Cruz Interview

Penélope Cruz talks to movie critic Peter Howell about fame, Pedro Almodóvar and why the camera focuses on her cleavage in Volver.

Penélope Cruz was in tears the day before she began making Volver with her friend, the writer-director Pedro Almodóvar.

"I was crying non-stop the day before we started shooting, from terror," the Spanish actress said in an interview during the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

"It's a good fear. I need that fear to do a good job."

This may seem an extreme way to prepare for working with a man you count among your intimates, someone close enough to go to the movies with on a Sunday afternoon and to chat with for hours on the phone.

She appears to be closer to him than to the actors she has been romantically linked with, including Tom Cruise, Matthew McConaughey and Orlando Bloom.

"This movie was so important to me and I really didn't want to disappoint him," she explains of her trepidation of working for a third time with Almodóvar. They'd previously collaborated on All About My Mother (1999) and Live Flesh (1997).

"It was a mixture of good emotions, a celebration of what was happening, and fear."

Cruz went out of her way to please Almodóvar. She packed on nine pounds for her Oscar-buzzed Volver role as Raimunda, a single mother who is haunted by a bothersome body and a ghost, the latter being the spirit form of her late mother.

Almodóvar wanted Cruz looking more mature, drawn and matronly, a stretch for a 32-year-old beauty whose legs go on for days beneath her mini-skirt.

She obliged him by strapping on a rubber tush to add more curves to her extra weight, which seems to have vanished completely. That's movie magic for you.

QYou really like working with Almodóvar, don't you? He helped launch you in North America with All About My Mother.
AMore than just liking it. I love what I feel working with him. I cannot compare it to anything else. I've had great experiences with some directors who I love, but Pedro is one of my closest friends for 10 years. I trust him completely. What I have with him is very special.

QHe seems fascinated with your bust. The camera stares at your cleavage.
AThe way he dressed my character has to do with what he needed from the character as an image that represented motherhood. So everything is chosen for that. I gained some kilos; I ate more. He wanted me to work so much, so I would look like somebody who is always tired, always stressed out.

QI also noticed the elaborate kisses that the women bestow on each other in the film. It looked like three kisses in one.
AYes, we started doing that in the rehearsals. I remember my grandmothers always did that. And I've always done that to them, to everyone in my family. I would never let go of that ritual. I do it all the time to my family. It's like the most intimate thing.

QIt's nice to see a movie where there are so many good roles for women. No wonder you all won an ensemble acting prize at Cannes.
AI know. We need more movies like that. It's great the characters that Pedro writes for women.

QHow was it to do the scene where you have to dispose of a dead body?
AThat was hard physically, because I was carrying the real weight. Pedro and I wanted to do it with the real weight. I love that he cares about things like that because I am the same way. Also with the shopping, the kilos of tomatoes and oranges, it has to be the real weight. Every take I had to do about putting the body in a refrigerator, my whole body was hurting like I had just come from the gym. But if you can do something the real way, it's always better.

QHow have you adjusted to fame? It's only been a short time in America where people have known about you.
AIt's been the same as it was in Spain. It happened in Spain since I was 16, a teenager. I feel I learned the lessons about fame then and now it's been in other territories. But it's really the same thing.

QIs there a type of movie you want to do?
AMore comedies, in English. Because I've done them in Spanish, but not in English. I love comedy, which I think is really tricky and scary and I love that. There's a romantic comedy that I might do. I don't know for sure if I will do it. We are developing it now.

QIs there any historical figure you'd like to play?
AYes, many. There is one that I really want to do, but I don't want to say whom. Maybe because of superstition. But it's like my secret ... I'll do it in maybe a couple of years. It's one that I've been obsessed with since I was a little girl.

  • The mystery of Josh's other woman solved

HOLLYWOOD hunk Josh Hartnett has gone into damage control after returning to the Auckland set of his new movie from his cosy weekend away in Sydney with a co-star.

Confidential can reveal his companion in Sydney was New Zealand actress Amber Sainsbury, who has a small role in the thriller 30 Days of Night.

With the low-key weekend trek to Sydney fuelling speculation his relationship with screen siren Scarlett Johansson is on the rocks, Hartnett has shot down talk of a romantic link with his 26-year-old co-star to fellow cast and crew.

According to insiders on the set, the 28-year-old star of Pearl Harbour and Black Hawk Down is denying he and Sainsbury are anything more than friends, insisting he actually knows the Kiwi actress's boyfriend.

But Hartnett and Sainsbury certainly looked more than friendly during their stay on the weekend at Woolloomooloo hotel Blue.

The US actor was spotted with his arm around his companion as they left Darlinghurst cafe Forbes and Burton on Sunday morning after a late breakfast - their second visit in as many days to the diner.
"Josh got jumped on by a few different people to get photos taken so she went outside the cafe," an onlooker said.

"But when he eventually went out he put his arm around her as they walked across the street. There was a level of intimacy there."
The pair ducked for cover when Confidential caught up with them as they were leaving Sydney on Sunday night - Sainsbury bolting into the airport terminal covering her face with a jacket and bag and Hartnett telling photographers to "get f...ed".

While Hartnett was denying any romantic attachment on set, his girlfriend Johansson's publicist Marcel Parisbeau would not confirm whether the Hollywood couples had split.

"(I) don't comment on clients' personal lives," Parisbeau said.
A publicist for 30 Days of Night did not return calls.

  • NBC orders more scripts for '30 Rock'

NBC has ordered three additional scripts of freshman comedy "30 Rock."

The order follows a three-script pickup the show received last month, bringing the total to six additional scripts.

The move follows a lackluster debut of the critically praised comedy on Thursday last week when a 40-minute episode of the show averaged 5.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/6 share among adults 18-49.

Created by and starring Tina Fey, "30 Rock" got off to a weak start on Wednesdays before being moved to Thursdays, where it will run at 9:30 p.m. after "Scrubs" beginning this week.

"30 Rock," from NBC Universal TV Studio and Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video TV, is set behind the scenes of a late-night sketch comedy show. Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski co-star.

"30 Rock" is one of three Nielsen-challenged new NBC series that received an order for three more scripts last month. The other two, the dramas "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and "Friday Night Lights," have since been picked up for a full season.

Meanwhile, "30 Rock" and ABC's drama "The Nine" are the only two freshman series whose fate is still up in the air.

"Nine," which was a given an order for four additional scripts last month, is struggling in the Wednesday 10 p.m. time slot and looks unlikely to continue beyond its original order.

Jennifer thinks the pair could be capable of developing a seriously sexy range," a source was quoted by Hollywood rag, as saying.

J.Lo, who already runs her own fashion label Sweetface, also reportedly asked Victoria, whose fashion line is called Rock and Republic, for script writing tips, even though Victoria has very little movie experience.

Lost star Josh Holloway is being tipped to star in the next X-Men movie as fan favorite Gambit. But it’s reported the model/actor will star in the next installment, which will not feature many of the film’s original stars, including Hugh Jackman, Sir Ian McKellen and Halle Berry. The film’s producer Lauren Shuler Donner tells Moviehole, “Remember in Lost? There was a guy in there that was the perfect Gambit, the guy with the straight hair, good-looking, the bad boy… Sawyer. The reason we didn’t use Gambit was because in a sense his persona is a bit like Wolverine in that he’s got attitude and his power is not quite as exciting as the others. That’s why we went to Nightcrawler on 2 because he looked different than everybody else and he had a great power. So yes, I think we would weave Gambit within our story, (but) it wouldn’t be The Gambit Movie.” Gambit possesses the ability to charge objects with energy, causing them to explode.

  • O.J. Simpson Book, Interview Canceled

Following protests from the victims' families a book and TV interview documenting O.J. Simpson's hypothetical take on how he would have killed his ex-wife and her friend have been canceled.

HarperCollins, through its ReganBooks imprint, had been set to release If I Did It on Nov. 30, and a two-part interview with Simpson was due to air on the FOX network on Nov. 27 and 29. Both HarperCollins and FOX are owned by News Corp.

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch said Monday. "We are sorry for any pain that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson."

The book was reportedly sold for $3.5 million, although publisher Judith Regan has said she was told the money would not go to Simpson. "What I do know is I didn't pay him," she said in a statement last week. "I contracted through a third party who owns the rights, and I was told the money would go to his children."

Simpson was acquitted of the double murder in 1995, but found liable for the deaths in civil court two years later. He still owes the victims' families more than $33.5 million in damages.

  • Tom's Top Gun Serenade

For Tom Cruise, words weren't enough to express his feelings for Katie Holmes. He had to do it in song -- and a familiar one at that.

When, L.A. deejay Mark Ronson played the Righteous Brothers tune "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" during the reception for the couple's wedding, Cruise serenaded his bride by singing along with the record.

"She was completely touched -- laughing, loving him and enjoying him," guest Leah Remini revealed.

Cruise's impromptu serenade, of course, hearkens back to his performance of the same song in Top Gun. In the movie his character, Maverick, attempted to woo Kelly McGillis with the song. As for Katie, her heart already belongs to Tom.

  • Britney Parties with Mario Lopez

Britney Spears's post-breakup tour has taken her to Las Vegas – and she finally hit the town this weekend, winning big at the blackjack table and partying with Dancing with the Stars' Mario Lopez

After stops in New York and her Louisiana hometown of Kentwood, Spears, accompanied by her former manager Larry Rudolph, arrived in Nevada this week and kept a low profile before finally hitting the town on Friday.

Donning a disguise of a pink wig and big, dark sunglasses, Britney was spotted Friday night chatting it up with hotel owner George Maloof – this, after she and George went on a shopping trip to Caesars Palace's Forum Shops.

Also on Friday, Spears went into the Palms' recording studio with producer Lukasz Gottwald to mix tracks on her new album.

Britney also did pretty well at the tables, gambling at The Mint, the Palms' high-limit lounge. There, Britney – wearing a short, black dress – caught a lucky streak, raking in $10,000 in winnings from blackjack.

She also was introduced to Mario Lopez at The Mint. The two, along with a small group, then headed up to Moon Nightclub and partied the night away.

  • Stunt men pay tribute to Daniel Craig

Stunt experts have paid tribute to Daniel Craig's skill and strength in filming Casino Royale.

Gary Powell has played a key role in several Bond outings, including flipping a boat in The World Is Not Enough and driving a run-away crane in Goldeneye. He also worked on the latest film and has shared his views on how Craig performed.

"Daniel really took some hits on Casino Royale," he explained. "I'd see him bruised and cut up, fight after fight. And he'd just say: 'Oh s***, that smarted a bit, let's go again'.

"Someone told me recently: 'Sean Connery sweated, Roger Moore perspired and Pierce Brosnan glowed.' I don't agree but I'll add one thing - Daniel Craig bleeds. He did everything we asked of him and more. Without a doubt Daniel is the toughest."

Former soldier Joss Skottowe, meanwhile, had the job of teaching Craig how shoot a gun. He also gave his strength in the role credit. "We use real guns in the movie, even though they've been adapted to fire blanks," he explained.

"I brought in some SAS chums to give Daniel some extra training. And even they were impressed. One said to me, 'That boy's a natural'. And he's right. Daniel is the only Bond who in real life could pass SAS selection. He's fit, he looks like a killer and he's smart."

Scuba diving expert Dave Shaw also told the Sunday Mirror how Craig was commited to playing his part properly. "Daniel really threw himself into training," he observed. "We were having to film six metres under water and even three metres can kill you. If you surface too quickly, you can burst a lung.

"Daniel was having to hold his breath for up to a minute - he must have swallowed pints of water but he never whinged. Daniel was without doubt my favourite Bond to work with."

I got maybe 35 beats already done for it now so I'm just diving in and trying to carve out the pie with the vocals."

Outkast have been under pressure from critics lately, who feel the end of the group may be soon to split. The band's last LP, Idlewild only contained one song featuring both members of the duo, with the remaining material produced individually.

  • Hartnett & the mystery woman

On a break from filming in New Zealand, movie hunk Hartnett spent the weekend in Sydney with the mystery woman as reports began to surface of a rift in his romance with screen siren Scarlett Johansson.

Confidential caught up with the pair as they prepared to depart Sydney late yesterday - but Hartnett was in no mood to talk, telling photographers to "get f...ed" as he and his female companion walked through Sydney airport.

The brunette - wearing dark glasses, a hat and trying to cover her face with her bag and jacket - bolted into the terminal after leaving hotel Blue in Woolloomooloo, where they had been bunkered down for the weekend.

Earlier, Hartnett and his offsider had eaten at nearby restaurant Salon Blanc for the third time in two days, sitting discretely in a back corner of the celebrity hotspot at Woolloomooloo Wharf to avoid attention.

Hartnett was here on a brief break from filming horror flick 30 Days Of Night in New Zealand alongside Aussie actress Melissa George.

Not keen to travel far for a feed, the pair took a liking to Salon Blanc during the stay, stopping for tapas on Saturday afternoon and dinner and cocktails later that night before returning again yesterday.

  • Grandmaster Flash wins Hip-Hop Icon award

Grandmaster Flash has been named a Hip-Hop Icon for his achievements at the first Black Entertainment Television awards.

The DJ and musician was honored with the "I am Hip-Hop" title at the event, shown live in the US on Wednesday night, where current leading lights in the genre paid tribute to his contribution.

Chamillionaire, who won an award for best newcomer on the night, said Flash had made a unique mark on music. "He's created something that is important to everybody in the hip-hop world from rappers, to DJs, to dancers to break dancers," he explained. "He has influenced everybody in the hip-hop world."

The successful DJ said Flash was also responsible for the mix tape tradition that now sees young artists get their work played across the world. "Mix tapes are controlled by DJs and DJs are the reason why people like me are even successful," commented Chamillionaire. "When any record is hot in the club, or is getting a buzz it's because of the DJ."

"I actually didn't realise what I was onto," Flash told Reuters. "All I knew was I was very frustrated with the way DJs were playing at the time."

A source told The Mirror: "Lindsay was inconsolable within just five minutes of arriving. She was taken to a sofa upstairs and surrounded by bodyguards - but didn't like it that guests kept taking a peek at her.

"So she let rip at organisers to create a VIP section and couldn't stop the tears from coming. After Donna Karan saw how upset she was, she created a make-shift VIP section for her."

  • Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Marry!

    tom_cruise4180

It's official: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are now husband and wife. The couple exchanged vows Saturday in front of more than 150 guests at the Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy, their rep, Arnold Robinson, confirms.

"The wedding was absolutely beautiful," says a guest.

With thousands of fans, photographers and TV cameras watching from afar, Cruise and Holmes were joined by family – Katie's dad Martin walked her down the aisle – and a slew of celeb pals, including Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, among others.

The sunset ceremony was performed by a Scientology minister, according to a statement from their reps. The wedding party included Cruise's children, Isabella and Connor, the best man was Cruise's best friend, David Miscavige – the head of the Church of Scientology – and Katie's sister Nancy Blaylock served as the matron of honor.

Though initially there were questions about whether Cruise and Holmes's marriage on Saturday was official – the Mayor of Bracciano, Italy, said the couple needed to have a civil ceremony in town in order to make it legal – Cruise's reps say Tom and Katie took care of everything beforehand.

"As is customary for couples marrying outside of the United States, Cruise and Holmes officialized their marriage in Los Angeles prior to their departure for Italy," according to the statement.

Other details released Saturday by the newlyweds:

    - The bride: Holmes wore an off-the-shoulder Armani gown with a train in ivory silk cadis adorned in Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery. Holmes also wore an ivory tulle floor-length veil and ivory silk shoes. Armani, which outfitted the entire wedding, also supplied Katie's bouquet of calla lilies, as well as a champagne evening gown, which she wore at the reception.

    - The groom: Cruise wore a navy blue Armani tux.

    - The couple's rings: Their rings were white gold Cartier with diamonds.

    - The meal: After cocktails, guests were served Italian hors d'oeuvres, followed by a multi-course meal.

    - The cake: Five-tiered white chocolate, decorated with marzipan roses, and studded with white chocolate chips.

    - The entertainment: Italian singer Andrea Bocelli.

Saturday's wedding started on a damp note, with scattered rain throughout the morning. Holmes and 7-month-old daughter Suri were escorted into the castle under a cluster of green umbrellas. A little over an hour later, the groom was escorted from the Hassler hotel in Rome to Lake Bracciano 18 miles away. With the sun going down, candles lit up the perimeter of the 15th-century castle as limousines carrying the guests drove through the gates.

Fans and media were kept at a safe distance from the castle: Police checkpoints prevented anyone unauthorized from getting too close, and journalists were stationed in the nearby town square.

Saturday's ceremony brought the couple's 19-month romance full circle: Cruise and Holmes first stepped out as a couple in Rome in April 2005, with Cruise already referring to Holmes as "amore mio" just a few weeks after their first date (sushi, a private plane ride and a motorcycle trip to the beach).

Life changed even more in mid-June 2005. During a late-night candlelit dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Cruise proposed with a five-carat diamond ring. "I want to marry her as soon as possible," Cruise announced. "You have to do what you feel is right," he said at the time. "It's (about) your own integrity and how you want to live your life."

The pair had another reason to celebrate in October, when they announced they were expecting a baby. Holmes "almost seems born for motherhood," her pal and former Dawson's Creek costar Oliver Hudson said. "She's a nurturer."

The pair welcomed 7-lb., 7-oz. Suri on April 18. "The moment I looked in her eyes I felt like ... Mom," Holmes told a magazine of her new bundle of joy. "She's the miracle of our life."

Ewan's wife has demanded it as a trade-off for him ruining the summer by shooting with Allen in London on an as-yet-untitled project when family holidays to California were booked. 'Eve's an even bigger Woody fan than me, so she didn't really mind - when Woody calls, you have to answer. It was just fantastic and I never got over it,' he says. 'I was just as blown away on the first day as the last. I've always wanted to work with an old master and Woody's old and definitely a master; it was pure joy. And I was working with Colin Farrell who turns out to be an excellent bloke, a real laugh. I'm not supposed to say anything about it, really, but this isn't an out-and-out comedy, although it's very funny in places.' Ewan will be back in Britain shortly, reuniting with his Young Adam co-star Emily Mortimer for Number 13, about on-set intrigue during the making of an early Hitchcock film.

Now that Bond's gone all adult, the area of gadgets and Qs is surely there for the taking. Although teen spy Alex Rider made his debut in cinemas with Stormbreaker this year, its author and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz has revealed that a screen future is far from certain for his callow hero: 'It's still to be decided,' he said. 'They paid me to write the script for Point Blanc, the next book in the series, but nobody's sure if it will make it to the screen.' Harvey Weinstein put up the $40m budget for the initial film but, in a limited release last month, American audiences, who already have their own teen spook, Agent Cody Banks, failed to take to the very British spy. Yet Horowitz is hoping the invigorated Bond will inspire further interest in Rider and all things espionage. 'It leaves me room to revisit the Goldfinger and Thunderball-type gimmicky movies of my youth.'

According to British reports, Kate decided to take back her allegedly promiscuous prince after having a serious heart-to-heart with her mum. We're assuming the conversation went something like this: "'ELLO!?! YOU COULD BE THE BLEEDIN' QUEEN, YOU TWIT!!!"

  • Britney Spears Calls Justin Timberlake

Britney Spears has turned to ex-lover Justin Timberlake to cope with the breakdown of her second marriage.

It has been claimed that Britney was making tearful phone calls to Justin even before she filed for divorce from Kevin Federline last week.

A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: “Justin said Britney has called him crying a number of times about her relationship with Kevin. She has gone through an excruciating time. It’s very sad. She doesn’t want anybody to feel sorry for her or see her as a victim. She has been trying for months to make it work for the sake of her children.”

One of the tracks on Justin’s new album ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ appears to be
a warning to an ex-girlfriend, strongly believed to be Britney, about staying with an unfaithful partner.

The lyrics to ‘What Goes Around…Comes Around’ read: “You spend your nights alone/ And he never comes home/ And every time you call him/ All you get is a busy tone/ I heard you found out/ That he’s doing to you/ What you did to
    me.”

Britney filed for divorce last week after allegedly catching Kevin with another woman in a New York hotel.

  • Gest: I want pint of zebra milk

STAFF at a top hotel branded David Gest their worst client ever — after he asked room service for a pint of ZEBRA milk.

Gest, 53, was staying at the five star Lanesborough in London with then wife Liza Minnelli.

Staff at the hotel, used to looking after royalty and celebrities, expected showbiz legend Liza, 60, to be a diva.

But according to a worker at The Lanesborough — where suites can cost £10,000 a night and each guest has a butler — it was I’m A Celebrity star Gest who was the prima donna.

He said: “He was an absolute pain. Anyone would think he was world famous, not his wife. He made a string of bizarre requests. It culminated in him ringing the butler bell and demanding room service bring him a pint of fresh, chilled zebra milk.

“When he was told we only had cow, goat, sheep and soya he threw a screaming fit. He said we should ring London Zoo to see if they had any.”

Head butler at the hotel, Sean Davoren, eventually found a shop which had frozen zebra milk. He said in an interview: “I’m not usually fazed by anything but I thought somebody was taking the mickey here.

“Luckily, I remembered a fellow who’d helped me before. Sure enough there was a shop at the top of Regents Park where you could buy the stuff.

“It was £15 a pint and the guest had a pint every day.”

  • Donald Trump Jr., Wife Expecting a Baby

Donald Trump Jr. and his wife of one year, Vanessa, are expecting their first child, the couple have confirmed.

The baby, who is due early next summer, will be the first grandchild for real-estate mogul Donald Trump.

"Everyone's very excited," Vanessa, 28, says. Although "if you mention the 'grandpa' word (to Donald Sr.), he might not be so excited."

Complicating the family dynamics: The new baby's uncle Barron (son of the elder Trump and his wife Melania) is just eight months old.

"They'll be more like brothers, or brother and sister," says Vanessa, who wants her baby's sex to be a surprise.

What kind of father will Donald Jr., a Trump Organization executive VP, be? A lot like his own dad. "Trumps don't do diapers," says Don, 28. But he does vow to be more hands-on – think playing catch – with his own kids.

  • Whitney Houston's Home on the Block

Whitney Houston's $6 million New Jersey estate is slated to be put on a sheriff's auction block Jan. 4 because of more than $1 million owed in back taxes and other charges, according to published reports.

The sale was scheduled Tuesday by the Morris County Sheriff's Office, the Daily Record of Parsippany newspaper reported. The service agent for Chevy Chase Bank, the mortgage holder, sued the soon-to-be-divorced singer, 43, in June. Neither the mortgage nor the taxes have been paid this year, according to county tax records.

Houston's estate encompasses two lots, with the lot for sale assessed at $889,300. The adjacent property is valued at more than $5.6million, reports the Daily Record. Houston purchased the properties nine years ago for $2.7 million.

To pay off the mortgage, Houston was to shell out $4,711.18 per month from June 2004 until May 2034, for a total of about $1.7 million, the paper reports. If the past-due payments are made, the sale could be called off, says Gayl Spivak, an attorney representing Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems.

Houston also has homes in California and Georgia.

Through a secretary, Houston's publicist, Nancy Seltzer, told the Daily Record that the property was not in foreclosure. There has been no further comment.

  • Angelina Jolie Lovin’ it at McDonald’s

Alert the media!! Angelina Jolie eats ketchup with her french fries!!

What a ruckus Angelina caused for grabbing fast food at McDonald’s yesterday! Hundreds of people showed up for a glimpse of the Hollywood actress. If they saw anything, I’m sure they saw a mouthful.

Angelina, 31, chowed down a quickie lunch with three other people (two male, one female) at a McDonald’s location in Bombay (Mumbai), India around the set of her new film, A Mighty Heart. She looks like she really enjoyed her meal there — sipping on some soda and eating french fries.

The McDonald’s menu is different all over the world but if the colors on the McDonald’s India website match the sandwich wrappers, Angelina ate a McVeggie burger which is a “breaded fried vegetable patty consist of peas, carrots, green, beans, red capsicum, potatoes, onions, rice and seasoning. The burger also includes lettuce, eggless mayonnaise in a toasted sesame seed bun.” Just thought you’d like to know!

  • MJ sings "We Are The World"

Michael Jackson made a musical comeback of sorts on Wednesday, singing the chorus line of his charity single "We Are The World" before the sound cut out as he struggled for the high notes.

The 48-year-old, performing live for the first time since he was acquitted of child molestation charges in June, 2005, had been expected to sing his seminal hit "Thriller."

But to the huge disappointment of screaming fans, that was performed instead by young U.S. star Chris Brown.

Jackson looked uncomfortable at times as he was surrounded by excited young members of a gospel chorus on stage with him.

That did not stop supporters desperate to see their idol cheer his every move, especially when threw his black sequin jacket into the crowd.

The failure by the deposed King of Pop to demonstrate his voice and confidence were back to anywhere near their best was likely to raise further doubts about his ability to resurrect a career that has been on hold for years.

"I love you!" he shouted, before the World Music Awards 2006 ceremony he headlined wound up.

Earlier in the evening, Jackson was given the Diamond Award honoring artists who sell more than 100 million records.

Introducing Jackson, U.S. singer Beyonce said: "Tonight we are celebrating 25 years of 'Thriller'," referring to his seminal album. "If it wasn't for Michael Jackson I would never have ever performed. I love you, we all love you."

  • Naomi is still kicking ass

Naomi Campbell might be spending more time in courtrooms than on catwalks these days.

The supermodel was due in a New York court Wednesday to face charges of assaulting a housekeeper — one in a series of former employees who have said the supermodel is striking in more ways than one.

The latest allegation came just Tuesday, when former maid Gaby Gibson sued Campbell for the second time.

Gibson says the 35-year-old model hit her, called her names and threatened to charge her with theft after being unable to find a pair of Stella McCartney jeans.

Campbell's court date Wednesday stems from a similar accusation: She was unable to find a pair of jeans and allegedly blamed the maid.

In that incident, Campbell was accused of hitting Ana Scolavino with a cell phone in the model's Manhattan apartment after saying she stole the missing jeans. Scolavino was treated for a head injury.

Campbell, who is from London, faces up to seven years in prison and deportation if convicted in that case. Her lawyer, David Breitbart, has said a plea deal was possible, but he did not say what it might entail.

In Campbell's latest legal woes, Gibson's new lawsuit says "Campbell either kicked or punched the back of Gibson's head ... while yelling discriminatory comments" as the maid searched the closet for the model's jeans.

Gibson worked for Campbell from November 2005 through January 2006. Her court papers call Campbell a "violent super-bigot" who disparaged her maid by saying, "You are not in the Third World any more, stupid," and "Romanians are not usually as dumb as you."

    Breitbart denied Gibson's claims.

He said Gibson's first lawsuit was thrown out because papers were not filed within the legal time limit. Gibson's lawyer, Lambros Y. Lambrou, said the new claim adds additional allegations and defendants.

They include four companies owned by Campbell and her former publicist, Amanda Silverman.

The lawsuit says the publicist "disseminated false and defamatory statements against Gibson," harming her reputation. Silverman said she had no comment.
    Gibson is seeking unspecified damages.

Lambrou said Campbell has been unfazed by her legal woes. He said she has been seen wearing a T-shirt saying "NAOMI HIT ME" on the front and "I LOVE IT" on the back.

  • Pressly Sperminated

My Name Is Earl actress Jaime Pressly and her deejay fiancé, Eric Cubiche, are expecting a baby, she announced during a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday.

The four-months-pregnant actress told Leno that after her doctor showed her an ultrasound, she thinks she's having a boy. "She asked me what I thought I was having and I said a boy," Pressly said. "She looked at the picture and said, 'If that's not a boy that's a third leg.' Of course, Eric says its because he's Cuban."

Last month, Pressly got engaged to Cubiche – but denied at the time that she was pregnant. Media reports first started swirling that she'd revealed her pregnancy to family and friends at a barbecue. "No, you can get rid of that rumor," she said when asked by if stories about her expecting were true.

In the midst of speculations, her My Name is Earl costar Jason Lee said, “She’s gonna be a good wife, she’s gonna be a great mom.” Pressly admitted that she'd told Lee about the pregnancy and he'd inadvertantly revealed the information at a red-carpet event. "I was only a month pregnant so I lied, which is a woman's right," she told Leno.

And she and Cubiche aren't in a rush to tie the knot. "It takes a lot of work and planning," she told Leno.

The couple have been dating for the past year and a half.

  • Iverson a Marathon Man in Bed

Allen Iverson isn't just one of the great basketball stars of our time - he's also a tireless slam-dunk in the bedroom, according to one of his ex-lovers.

In her autobiography, "It's No Secret," out this month from Pocket Books, former Def Jam Records office worker Carmen Bryan tells of her X-rated romps with hip-hop legends Jay-Z and Nas, with whom she has a child. But she saves her most gushing praise for Iverson, the 6-foot-tall Philadelphia 76ers guard, whom she labels a "lean and muscled" sexual "warrior."

"Just looking at him got me excited . . . He was so physically strong he thought nothing of picking me up and creating the most erotic of poses," writes Bryan about their first night of passion in a hotel. Even after Iverson exhausted her, he was instantly ready for more.

"In Round 2, he picked me up and swiftly carried me over to a table, perching me on its edge . . . holding me up by my hips and lower back." Exhausted, Bryan said she tried to rest, but Iverson snapped, "You think we're done? Oh, we ain't done!"

"He buried his face in my neck in spontaneous affection, which got Round 3 going. By now I needed a battery to keep up with the energetic Bubba Chuck."

Nas was also a player in the sack - "a human octopus" - she says. But he once freaked when he spotted a huge hickey on her neck from another man: "The next thing I knew I was being hit in the face with a closed fist. The impact of the blow was so fierce that I saw stars."

Bryan got payback when she inadvertently bought a box of defective condoms that set Nas' private parts on fire. "I ran down to the kitchen and grabbed a cup, added warm water and a pinch of baking soda . . . I told him to sit back and soak. It was at least an hour before Nas and his manhood were back to normal. 'The things you put me through, Carm,' he sighed."

Jay-Z, who Bryan says she inspired to write "Give It to Me," never had a problem getting amorous, even when he was wasted. "When [he] is inebriated his stamina increases tremendously," she gushes

  • Mario & Emmitt Prepare for Their Final Dance

It's down to the final dances for Mario Lopez and Emmitt Smith. The two men go toe-to-toe Tuesday night on ABC's Dancing with the Stars to see who will walk away with the season 3 disco-ball trophy.

For the first time on the show, each celebrity and his professional dance partner will be required to perform three numbers. Both couples will dance the samba and a freestyle, then for their third dance, Smith and partner Cheryl Burke will do the mambo while Lopez and partner Karina Smirnoff will perform the paso doble.

"I'm very nervous," says Burke, 22, who won the season 2 title with celebrity partner Drew Lachey. "Emmitt, on the other hand, is very cool. We balance each other out."

Smith says his years with the Dallas Cowboys have prepared him well for the kind of pressure and scrutiny Tuesday night will bring.

"We prepare during rehearsals and (on Tuesday nights) I don't think about the judges. I don't have a care in the world. I just enjoy the moment," Smith says.

Lopez, who has been teased throughout the season for having a short attention span and a fiery on- and off-screen relationship with Smirnoff, is a bit giddier. "I'm going up against Emmitt Smith! He was like a hero of mine!" Lopez says, noting that he thrives on stress. "I'm a hyper, energetic person and I like to keep busy and do a bunch of other stuff. I think I work best under pressure."

For Smith, the toughest part of the competition has been commuting each week between Los Angeles and his Dallas home. "It is definitely stressful when you're not home with your kids and you hear your 3-year-old say, 'I want Daddy to lay me down,' and Daddy is not home," he says. "I'm not there to protect them, to nurture them. It's tough when you're on the road for 14 days and all you can get is a phone conversation with them."

He praises his wife, Pat, for being his faithful teammate. "She has made our home very happy and the kids feel love in the house. When Daddy is away, they know Daddy is coming back."

Lopez's mother, Elvia, has been in the audience each week to support him, as have a slew of celebrity pals including Eva Longoria, Jose Canseco, George Lopez, Oscar de la Hoya and Elizabeth Berkeley.

Lopez jokes that he is "withering away" – down three belt notches thanks to daily eight-hour dance rehearsals. What he's looking forward to most when it's all over is "just chilling." And eating. "My mom will be cooking and I'm visiting my sister over (Thanksgiving) and she'll be cooking. They'll take care of me."

Burke, meantime, confesses that while the end is near and "I really want that trophy," she's already stressing about what's next. "I'm going to miss Emmitt," she says. "I'm already missing him."

Burke will re-team with Lachey for the 38-city DWTS tour, which kicks off Dec. 19 in San Diego. Smirnoff, meanwhile, will team up with season-3 contestant Harry Hamlin for the tour.

But first, there's a trophy to win. And bragging rights. "It's always been my philosophy: It's not where you start, it's where you finish," Smith says. "I want to finish strong."

That's fine. I don't get invited to everyone's wedding. I don't invite them to everything I do. But I wish them the best."

She continues, "I have a great deal of regard for their relationship and so I'm trying to think of what to get them."

Asked what she'll get the couple, she says, "I don't know! I was thinking … I'm easier (to shop for) – you can get me a bubble bath I'm okay – but I don't know what to give them."

Rowntree explained: “The days of Blur doing a tour will not happen. Most of the band have kids now, and when you’re a touring band you have to make a choice, so there will never be a return to that, but we have been talking about doing an album next year, we have even set a date for it.”

  • Panic! At The Disco Stretching Out On Next Album

Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie says to "expected the unexpected" from the group's sophomore album, which the Las Vegas quartet plans to start working on in January.

"The next album is going to be stuff that we've never tried before," Urie tells Billboard. "That's the stuff that interests us in our music -- just exploring new instruments we've never tried and new sounds that are appealing to us. You'll find a lot of stuff you'd never expect. We hope to please, and we're gonna spend a lot of time on it."

Urie says he, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker have started exchanging musical ideas, though no full songs have been written yet. "We've thrown a few ideas around," he says, "It's not something we're going to use for the record but just something that will push us in that direction."

Urie also notes that Ross and drummer Spencer Smith have been taking piano lessons. "We're all trying to improve as musicians," the singer notes. "I like to say we surprise ourselves every day. We try to take control of our own destiny, I guess."

Panic!'s second album will follow the band's hot debut, "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out," which has sold more than 1.3 million copies and launched the singles "I Write Sings Not Tragedies," "Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" and "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage." The group also contributed a version of "This is Halloween" to the new soundtrack for Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

Panic!'s success could lead to some Grammy nominations as well, but Urie says he and his bandmates -- who are on tour until Dec. 12 -- aren't counting on that. "We don't know if we're on that level yet," he says, "but we'll see."

Geyer, a favourite with the ladies, said he was grateful to have gone so far in the competition.

"I've had the best time. I never ever expected I'd get here," he said following his elimination.

"It would have been nice to go to the Opera House but these guys (Leith and Mauboy), I have so much respect for them, I hear them every day in the house, singing in the house, and honestly they're going hard."

Holden told Geyer he had been contacted by Sony executives who "loved" the 20-year-old Victorian's style.

"They are definitely going to offer you a deal mate," Holden told Geyer to loud applause and cheers from the audience.

Mauboy, the only female in the final three, and Leith, will battle it out to become the next Australian Idol at the grand final to be held at the Sydney Opera House on November 26.

  • Tom Cruise & Co. Arrive in Rome

Tom Cruise, who plans to wed Katie Holmes this weekend in Italy, has arrived with an entourage of 10 people in Rome.

The actor and company were spotted arriving in a private jet at the Ciampino Airport outside Rome at 11:30 a.m. local time. The group was then driven to their hotel under police escort.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, will tie the knot in a 17th-century castle in Italy on Nov. 18, Italian designer Valentino said on Thursday at the Condé Nast-sponsored Black Ball in New York City.

The couple's other designer pal, Giorgio Armani, is designing the clothes for the black-tie nuptials, including Cruise's tuxedo, Holmes's dress, as well as the duds for the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Having a wedding in Italy seems the perfect fit for the couple, who made their first public appearance together in spring 2005 in Rome, where Cruise was in town for the David di Donatello Awards.

At the time, a giddy Cruise told reporters about Holmes: "She is an extraordinary woman."

  • Timberlake Works on Duran-Duran Album

Justin Timberlake is working on Duran Duran's new album, along with superproducer Timbaland, who created recent smash hits for both Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, the British band said.

"We've got some good stuff happening," said lead singer Simon LeBon. "We've done three tracks with Timbaland; we've collaborated in a writing and production manner on one of those tracks with Justin Timberlake. We've got a lot really hot producers who are hotly interested in working with us at the moment. We are in a very good space."

Duran Duran, who had its biggest hits in the '80s with such songs as "Rio" and "The Reflex," was in New York last Tuesday to perform at Cipriani's at a benefit for the AIDS research organization AmFar. The night also featured an auction, led by Sharon Stone, of luxury items.

The performance was without one of its founding members: Guitarist Andy Taylor left the group late last month.

Bassist Josh Taylor likened the split to a divorce. He said, "There were many strong differences of feeling within the band for some time now."

However, he said, Taylor's departure has been "empowering, quite freeing" for Duran Duran.

"We've been playing over the last few weeks around Europe and in the States, and we're just putting it into the music," he said.

  • Jude Law & Sienna Miller Call It Quits

Jude Law and Sienna Miller have finally split for good, a source close to the pair reveals.

"It's a mutual decision," a pal of the actor says of ending the roller-coaster romance. "They have definitely come to the end of the road. They tried to make it work but it failed."

Reps for both Miller and Law refused to comment on the private lives of their clients.

Law, 33, and Miller, 24, were engaged to be married in 2004 but Miller broke off the relationship after his affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright, was exposed the following year.

Law was divorced from his actress wife Sadie Frost in late 2003 and the couple have four children. The actor's closeness to his children and by default to Frost has caused tension in his relationship with Miller. "There isn't another person involved but it isn't helped by Jude's devotion to his kids," says the pal.

"He and Sadie have a very friendly relationship for the sake of the kids but they are not getting back together," the pal adds. "It's pretty amazing seeing how calm it is for the kids with them but they are definitely not an item again."

New York-born Miller met Law on the set of Alfie, the movie in which he seduced her onscreen. Romance flourished offscreen and the pair was engaged on Christmas Day 2004. But just months later, Wright went public with intimate details of the torrid affair she had with the actor while he was filming All The King's Men in Louisiana.

After the revelation of the affair, Miller called off their union and Law issued an apology. After months apart the couple gingerly made another go of it.

"It was one of those can't live with them, can't live without them," an insider said when they first started dating again. Around the same time Miller was linked to new James Bond Daniel Craig but the reports were never substantiated.

Prior to acting, Miller was a model and once appeared nude in a famed Pirelli calendar, but was recently embroiled in controversy in Pittsburgh after insulting the city in an interview with while filming there. She later apologized to its citizens.

  • Tim Daly Interview

Gambling-addicted police officer Nick Cavanaugh is a multifaceted character – a hero with a dark past and some serious issues. Tim Daly, who plays him on ABC's hostage thriller The Nine (Wednesdays, 10 p.m. ET), is no less complex. The New York City native is bouncing back with a hit after two failed series (2001's The Fugitive and last year's blinked-and-you-missed-it Eyes). And at 50, and after 24 years of marriage, he's still just as charming as when he first made it big in the '90s sitcom Wings. We recently caught up with Daly for the scoop on The Nine, the secret to a long Hollywood match ("Don't get divorced!") and more.

When are we going to find out what happened in the bank?
Relatively quickly. What happened in the bank is secondary to the characters and what they're going through. The meat and potatoes is the character drama, and the spice is this mystery.

How would you handle yourself in a hostage situation?
I'm right on the thin red line. I could either become a total coward and huddle in a corner, or I could be a hero. I'm not sure.

Do you stay cool under pressure?
For the most part I think I'm okay under pressure. Sometimes the things that irk me are very trivial. I'll lose my cool because I can't find my keys, which is embarrassing and stupid.

    Does that happen often?
That was a bad example 'cause I never lose my keys. [But] when I see people litter, it drives me insane. It drives me into a blind rage and I totally lose my cool.

You turned 50 this year. How are you dealing with it?
You know, two years ago people would say, "How old are you?" I'd say "48" and they would say, "Wow, you look fantastic!" Now when people ask how old I am, and I say 50, they're like, "You're 50? You're disgusting! Get away from me. Don't touch my kids!" People ask me how I'm dealing with it [but] I'm fine. For some reason, people act as though I've told them I have some horrible venereal disease.

How do you stay looking so good?
I work out. I guess I'm sort of a genetic freak.

You've been married for 24 years (to actress Amy Von Nostrand). What is your secret to a successful marriage?
I would say the first rule of thumb is don't get divorced! That'll keep you together. A lot of hard work and tolerance and understanding.

The partnership follows the commercial and critical success of the acclaimed director's film The Departed, which has just passed the coveted $100 million mark at the US box office.

Scorsese cited his admiration for current Paramount Chairman Brad Grey as the reason for agreeing to the deal, which gives him a first-look deal at scripts. • Jake Shears slams Heather Mills

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has slammed Paul McCartney's wife Heather Mills for being stuck-up.

The flamboyant singer told the Mirror that Lady McCartney snubbed him at one of her husband's concerts.

He reportedly explained, "I hate to say this, but I found Heather to have her nose really stuck up in the air. I met her once with Sir Paul, and honestly, she didn't give me the time of day.

"You'd expect someone to be a little gracious or just pleasant when you meet them for the first time, but Heather was nothing like that."

He then went on to say, in reference to the couple's divorce, "Let's just say I'm on team Macca with this one."

  • Hollywood After Dark

Outside hotspot Privilege, Rod Stewart's kids Kimberly and her brother Sean were waiting for their car. Suddenly Sean got into an argument with someone. Kim was standing ringside yelling at them to stop. Finally, they were pulled apart.

That same night at Privilege, Robin Thicke - son of Alan Thicke - did an impromptu performance of his hit song Wanna Love U Girl. The crowd loved it.

As we were leaving, old school rapper Coolio arrived and was definitely knew it was time to go.

At Fred Segal, Lindsay Lohan was having lunch with a couple of pals. The paparazzi were so focused on Lindsay that actress Chloe Sevigny walked right past them and none of them even flinched or took a picture.

That same night, Stavros Niarchos was at Les Deux, hanging with a cluster of half-dressed drunk chicks rather than Paris or Lindsay.

Ladies man Brody Jenner and girlfriend Lauren Conrad had a table inside, where they were making out on the couch.

Right when the night seemed to die down, two studs walked in - Leonardo Dicaprio and newly unattached Kevin Connolly. The lads strolled in and took their spot at the best VIP table.

  • GN'R: No drinking on stage? No show!

Guns N' Roses canceled a performance in Portland, Maine, this week after being told by state officials that the band could not drink on stage.

Inspectors from the state fire marshal's office gave the band the no-drinking order when they came to look over the pyrotechnics planned for Monday's scheduled concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Public Safety Department.

McCausland said the band had wanted to drink beer, wine and Jagermeister while performing. A couple of hours after being told that would violate state law, Guns N' Roses canceled its concert, he said.

After the cancellation, a band spokesperson blamed fire marshals for "making it impossible for the band to perform their show to the usual high standards that their fans deserve." The press release, however, did not give a specific reason for the pullout.
