Keith Urban Is Still in Rehab

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-12-28 - 16:16:53

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban reunited in Sydney on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean Urban is out of rehab, his rep says.

"Keith is on a leave in Australia to be with his family during the holidays," Urban's publicist, Paul Freundlich, tells the Associated Press. "This is a natural occurrence at this point in his treatment. He will continue with his rehab upon his return."

The couple were photographed outside the Sydney offices of United International Pictures – their first appearance in public together since Urban checked into rehab in October.

Urban flew into Sydney on Tuesday, Australian Associated Press reported.

This visit marks Urban's first time in Australia since he married Kidman in a lavish Sydney wedding in June. The couple, both 39, have been based mainly in Nashville, Tenn.

The two also shared a brief reunion in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Is love in the air for Jennifer Aniston and billionaire playboy Steve Bing? In Touch is reporting that Steve, 41, approached Jen, 37, and gave her his phone number while she was having dinner with friends at West Hollywood’s Madeo restaurant.

An insider revealed, “They’ve known each other socially. He saw an opportunity and made a move.”

Jen hasn’t taken Steve up on the offer just yet - and friends say he’s not the only guy who’s been hitting on the newly single star. Ever since she broke up with Vince Vaughn, “Men are coming out of the woodwork,” says a pal. One of those men is cyclist Lance Armstrong, 35, but a friend says Jen turned him down when he asked her on a date because of her friendship with his ex-fiancé, Sheryl Crow.

'Crash' producer loses Oscars battle

by lawsonjeff @ 2006-12-28 - 16:11:26

A producer on the movie Crash who was not credited when the film won an Oscar, has lost his legal battle with the organisers.

Bob Yari, who managed the financing of the film, sued the Producers Guild of America and the Academy Awards team after missing out on honours when it won best picture in March.

Six people, including Yari, were named as producers in the film credits, but only two - Paul Haggis and Cathy Schulman - were named at the Oscars. Patty Glaser, a solicitor for Yari, said of his client that he "always felt he's right on the merits of the case".

His case has been dismissed by a Superior Court judge in Los Angeles.
