The singer told the news to photographers who spotted her at a coffee shop in Santa Monica, California on Thursday.

"Me and Isaac are not together, by the way," Spears revealed as she returned to her car. Asked to clarify if this meant that the relationship was over, she replied: "Yes."

Spears and Cohen were first spotted together at the beginning of this year. Britney filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline in November.

"They were then joined by a girlfriend of Sienna's but carried on with their flirting"

Miller, who appears in the upcoming film Factory Girl as Andy Warhol's muse, has been linked with a host of stars, including Daniel Craig and Orlando Bloom.

Her spokesperson however claimed that she and Hartnett were "just friends".

"I'm not a drug addict, in fact I've never been drunk, don't smoke, have never taken drugs and never will."

When asked why he and long-term partner Shannon Tweed were not married, Simmons replied, "Shannon and I have been happily unmarried for 23 years. I lead my life my way. I am the Alpha male and what I say goes."

  • DiCaprio backs Scorsese for Oscar triumph

Leonardo DiCaprio has tipped Martin Scorsese to finally claim an Oscar this year.

The director has never won the prestigious award, despite having a string of critically lauded films on his CV. DiCaprio cannot believe Scorsese has never triumphed at the ceremony, and insists 2007 must be his year to claim, for The Departed.

The actor, who starred in the film, said: "It would be wonderful if this film was rewarded, I think it very much deserves it. And I certainly think (Scorsese) does. It's quite long overdue, almost a practical joke at this point that that hasn't happened."

The man himself, however, has learned from experience not to get his hopes up: "I learned a long time ago, with Mean Streets and Taxi Driver, that you can't make a film to get the golden statue. And if you try it doesn't work."

  • Lowe Steps Out with His New Girlfriend

Chad Lowe is seeing producer Kim Painter, his rep confirms.

"They are dating," Lowe's publicist, Cindy Guagenti revealed. Lowe, 39, split last year from wife Hilary Swank.

Lowe and Painter were spotted together at the Nov. 15 L.A. premiere of Carrie Fisher's one-woman show, Wishful Drinking, which Painter co-produced.

Since then, they've been making appearances all over L.A. (as the New York Daily News first reported) – including a recent trip to Mr. Chow for dinner with Lowe's family.

And after the Golden Globes, they chatted and smooched at the InStyle/Warner Bros. party, and later, while waiting at the valet stand, Lowe introduced Painter to friends including Emilio Estevez, Seal and Heidi Klum. Painter grumbled about the cold and Lowe gave her a snuggle to keep her warm.

Romance isn't the only thing going well in Lowe's life: On Jan. 29, the actor-director, who helmed last year's Beautiful Ohio, will make his debut as Deputy Chief of Staff Reed Pollock on FOX's 24.

  • Manson: No Spousal Support for Dita

In divorce papers filed by Marilyn Manson, he lists his date of separation from his estranged wife Dita Von Teese as Halloween – not Christmas Eve as she claimed, according to a Jan. 12 court document.

Both Manson, 38, and Von Teese, 34, cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

Manson is trying to block any future claim from Von Teese of spousal support, although she currently has not asked for any. He also wants her to pay her own attorney fees, while she is seeking to have him pay for the divorce.

Von Teese, a burlesque dancer, filed for divorce on Dec. 29, after just over a year of marriage.

Sources close to the former said that Manson's relationship with 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood was a factor in their split, along with his increased partying.

It was last Halloween when Wood, looking strikingly similar to Von Teese with her hair in a 1940s coif, attended Manson's art gallery opening in L.A., in which he showcased his paintings, one of which was of Wood.

Manson and Wood reportedly met after he approached the Thirteen star to appear in the rocker's upcoming horror film project.

Reps for Manson, Von Teese and Wood could not be reached for comment.

  • Colin Farrell & Ralph Fiennes Cast in "In Bruges"

Focus Features announced casting is complete on the suspense thriller In Bruges from writer/director Martin McDonagh.

Although In Bruges will be McDonagh's first feature film, the writer/director has already won an Oscar. His short film Six Shooter, which he wrote and directed, took home the Academy Award for Best Short Film, Live Action in 2006.

The cast of In Bruges includes Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes, Clémence Poésy, and Jérémie Renier. Gleeson and McDonagh previously worked together on Six Shooter. Filming is expected to begin in February on In Bruges in Bruges, Belgium.

In a press release from Focus Features announcing the casting of In Bruges, Focus CEO James Schamus stated, “Martin has written a screenplay that is both killingly funny and dramatically affecting, and this fine troupe of actors from all over the world will interact marvelously under his direction.

We’re also very grateful for the extensive cooperation and support that Bruges is offering the production.”

    In Bruges - Official Synopsis

In Bruges is the darkly comedic tale of the fates of hit men Ray (Farrell) and Ken (Gleeson). After a difficult job in London, the team is ordered by their boss Harry (Fiennes) to cool their heels in Bruges. Very much out of their comfort zones, the men find themselves drawn into increasingly dangerous entanglements with locals, tourists, and a film shoot. Soon, their perspectives on life and death are violently skewed.

Poésy will play Chloë, a woman working on the movie who catches Ray’s eye, to the displeasure of her ex-boyfriend Erik (Renier).

  • Justin Timberlake & Cameron Diaz Break Up

After almost four years together, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake have called it quits, the couple said in a statement Thursday.

"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media," the pair said. "We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship, and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."

Diaz, 34, and Timberlake, 25, met in April 2003 at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and by July, Diaz had joined her new beau on the road as he toured with Christina Aguilera.

They seemed at first like an unlikely pair: A former 'N Sync-er, Timberlake previously dated Britney Spears; Diaz had been in relationships with fellow movie stars Matt Dillon and Jared Leto.

And then there was their nine-year age difference. "It's not like this is the first time in the history of human relationships that people were drawn to one another because of who they are, not what age they are," Diaz told W in 2004.

But they surprised skeptics, staying together despite relentless rumors of strife. In July 2004, Timberlake filed a libel suit against the British tabloid News of the World after it claimed he'd cheated with model Lucy Clarkson, and in May 2005, Diaz sued U.K. tab The Sun for suggesting she'd had an affair with Shane Nickerson, the producer of her MTV adventure show Trippin'.

Along with breakup rumors, they faced near constant speculation that they were engaged. In August 2004, Diaz was spotted wearing a gold band on her left ring finger, but her rep denied the couple were altar-bound. Another source said at the time: "Cameron has always said she has no interest in getting married."

That was their story, and they stuck to it. In September 2006, Timberlake told Ellen DeGeneres she could buy a dress for their wedding – then quipped, "The only thing is, you'll have to stay the same size for the next 15 years."

Two months later, Diaz made her own appearance on DeGeneres's show, and told the host of getting married: "I'm a commitment-phobe. Don't want to do it."

Last week, Timberlake kicked off his FutureSex/LoveShow tour. Meanwhile Diaz collected a trophy for favorite leading lady at the People's Choice Awards on Tuesday.

  • Britney Spears's $40,000 Night in Vegas

Britney Spears and Isaac Cohen have taken their hookup to new heights: a Fantasy Tower suite at The Palms in Las Vegas.

Sources reveal the couple stayed in the tower's $40,000-a-night, two-story Hugh Hefner Sky Villa on Saturday, where a Jacuzzi pool, a glass elevator, an 8-ft. rotating bed and a full bar are among the amenities.

"They seem very happy together," says a source who spotted the two, who started dating in the past month. Hotel officials had no comment.

The trip was Spears's first appearance in Las Vegas since hosting a much-talked-about party at Pure nightclub on New Year's Eve – where, her rep said, she fell asleep.

It was a different scene Saturday night. Spears and model-actor Cohen, both 25, danced and smoked cigarettes at 8½, a gay club off the Strip, before leaving after about an hour.

This is the second weekend in a row that the couple have been seen together. On Jan. 6 they hung out on a powerboat off Marina del Rey, outside L.A., and the next night met up at the W Hotel's Whiskey Blue bar in Westwood.

  • Kristin Cavallari's Hot Spot Birthday Party

Kristin Cavallari helped kick off the grand opening of new Hollywood hot spot Sideways Restaurant & Lounge with an event of her own: a belated 20th-birthday celebration.

The dinner with about a dozen friends – including actor Nick Zano (What I Like About You), with whom she spent New Year's Eve in Miami – started around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, the same night Britney Spears and her new beau Isaac Cohen also made an appearance at the new tapas joint.

"This is the first time I've seen my friends [in a while] so I'm having the best time," Cavallari said. "I'm kind of getting over the club scene. I like this better because you can actually talk to someone instead of yelling at them. You can talk, eat food and just hang out with your friends."

Just a week before that would've been impossible. The former Laguna Beach star ushered in her 20s by having her wisdom teeth removed Jan. 4, the day before her actual birthday.

Instead of partying, Cavallari "lied in bed and watched TV, which is actually nice because I haven't done that in awhile," she says, "but the whole wisdom teeth thing was a pain. Ugh. I'm just sort of able to smile again."

Also seeming to put a smile on her face lately has been Zano. The two sat next to each other for most of the night. "Hes a sweet guy," she said. "I'm very happy now. I'm in a happy place."

And she plans on keeping the positive vibe running through 2007. Her new year's resolution? To "stop swearing," Cavallari says. "I've made this resolution, like, five times and it hasn't worked!"

  • Jennifer Lopez: 'My Life Had Become Uncomfortable'

Jennifer Lopez's big clubbing and partying days are over.

Since marrying Marc Anthony and settling down, the actress-singer says she has purposefully decided to lead a quieter life – if not out of the spotlight, at least a little less in it.

"It was a choice," Lopez, 36, said at the annual TV critics conference in Pasadena, Calif. on Thursday. "My life for me had become uncomfortable in the way that it was affecting my personal life and the people in it. So I decided I needed to take a look at that.

"I realized there was a way to pull back from that. You don't go out as much. You choose different places to go."

One place she doesn't go much these days is the dance floor. When asked if she cuts a rug with husband Marc Anthony, she said, "No we don't. Were homebodies. We love music – obviously it's a big part of our lives – but we're not big club people. Not anymore. I've had my days."

Lopez was in town to promote her new MTV series DanceLife, which she executive produced and premieres Jan. 15. The show will follow six young dancers as they compete for their big break.

  • Stone made co-star bleed in violent scene

Sharon Stone made her co-star's nose bleed while filming a violent scene for new movie Alpha Dog.

The actress plays a mother of a murdered teen in the film and decided that her character's aggression had to look realistic when she confronted one of her son's attackers, played by Ben Foster.

"I was trying to figure out how to hit him, because you have to hit a person when you're doing that kind of a scene," she explained. "You can't do those stunt hits because it doesn't really work in a scene like that.

"I was trying to hit him without hurting him but Ben just wouldn't let me because he knew the scene really required this kind of violence and this kind of aggression. It required me to really go for him.

"He forced me to aggress him and he forced me to hit him. He just kept pushing me and pushing me and I just lost it. He made me hit him until it broke my heart. It was so awful and his nose started to bleed."

The film, starring Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon and Leonardo Di Caprio won the awards for best picture and best director.

Upon receiving his best director award Scorsese remarked, "I am pleased to win this award, and surprised. Maybe it's because this is the first picture I made with a plot."

The Departed is also nominated for six Golden Globes, which are due to be announced next week.

Other big winners at the US Critics' Choice Awards included offbeat comedy Little Miss Sunshine and musical Dreamgirls, who each picked up four awards.

British film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan took the prize for best comedy.

  • Brit Awards snub for Robbie's 'Rudebox'

Robbie Williams's controversial Rudebox album has been snubbed by Brit Awards bosses.

Although the nominations for this year's awards have not yet been officially announced, insiders claim that Robbie is not up for Best Male, Best British Album or Best Single for the first time in ten years. Instead, he has been nominated in the Best Live Act category.

A source told The Mirror: "A few years ago Robbie not being nominated would have been unthinkable - he had the Midas touch. But that's clearly deserted him and he's going to have a real struggle on his hands to regain his credibility."

Another insider added: "Rudebox has been an unmitigated disaster for Robbie and the record company. We knew things were bad but were hoping for at least one decent nomination from the Brits."

Rudebox was panned by critics and some fans when it was released last year. Robbie's former manager Nigel Martin Smith later forced him to change the lyrics to one song after claiming that they were libellous.

  • Madonna & Jolie in adoption feud

Madonna and Angelina Jolie are feuding publicly over their support for African orphans, it has been reported.

Both stars have apparently attacked the way the other chooses to carry out their good work. Madonna has criticised Jolie's plans to open her own orphanages while she responded with comments about the singer's adoption of a Malawian baby.

The conflict began when Madonna and Guy Ritchie first considered an adoption from the continent. According to the Mail on Sunday Jolie told her to go to orphanages in Ethiopia where she found her own daughter Zahara. The singer decided otherwise and adopted David Banda from Malawi, which has less established procedures, in October.

Breaking her public silence on the matter, Jolie recently told a magazine in France: "Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born. It is a country where there is no legal framework for adoption."

Now Madonna, reportedly "apoplectic" about the remarks, has hit back with comments about Jolie and Brad Pitt's project to build an orphanage in India.

"I'm not interested in going there like an idiot and going, 'OK, I'm going to build ten orphanages and I'll see you guys later,'" she declared. "I've joined the UN and become an ambassador, visited various countries and just showed up and smiled and looked concerned. But that's not getting to the root of the problem and neither is building orphan care centres."

A friend of Madonna added: "Angelina seems to think she has got a monopoly on being the good Samaritan, but quite frankly criticising Madonna for adopting David is a case of the pot and the kettle."

  • Brown's kids want home to become museum

James Brown's children want to turn his home into a museum and are seeking advice from the people who run Graceland.

The soul singer died on Christmas Day, aged 73, and his family are now hoping to make a lasting shrine for his fans, according to the Sunday Mirror.

They are currently developing ideas for the Memphis mansion and are apparently seeking a meeting with Elvis Presley's family, who oversee the museum at his former home. Graceland is a successful attraction which is visited by around 600,000 people each year.

Debri Opri, the Brown family lawyer, explained: "Mr Brown was a great fan and truly, truly cared about Elvis Presley."

Jack Soden, boss of Elvis Presley Enterprises, said the family were open to the idea. He commented: "We've been happy to give the benefit of what we've learned to the heirs of deceased entertainers."

  • Cruz sets sights on movie musical

Penelope Cruz has admitted that she fancies her hand at trying a musical in the near future.

As well as Chicago and The Phantom Of The Opera, Cruz also has an admiration for Nicole Kidman's work in the field: "My hope someday is to do a musical, like Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge! She was so great. I could use all my dancing."

  • Justin Timberlake wows San Diego

Justin Timberlake wowed thousands of fans on Sunday night as he kicked off his world tour in San Diego.

The 'SexyBack' singer performed old and new hits including 'Senorita' and Cry Me A River' during the breathtaking three hour set.

However, Justin's apparent heartache over his recent split from girlfriend of three years Cameron Diaz was evident, as he belted out romantic numbers like 'Last Night'.

Justin told the audience before the touching performance: "Sometimes love can't be easy so I'm going to do these songs."

Justin - whose romance with Cameron came to an end just before Christmas - also used the occasion to pay tribute to his biggest idol, Elvis Presley.

The late rock 'n' roll star would have celebrated his 72nd birthday on the night of the concert.

Before breaking into the Elvis classic 'Heartbreak Hotel', Justin said: "It is a special night because it's one of my idol's birthday. It is Elvis's birthday. Since I am from Memphis, I'm going to sing a song."

  • Clive Owen's Lancome deal

Clive Owen is the face of Lancome's new men's range.

The 'Closer' actor was chosen not only for his good looks, but also because of his acting achievements and work ethic, the cosmetic giant revealed.

Lancome International's general manager, Odile Roujol, said: "The way he has built his career so far, privileging the quality of the director rather than the high-profile nature of a role, makes us feel very confident in the fact that if he chose to accept this collaboration with Lancome, then it truly means our partnership was meant to be."

Clive, 42, will be appearing in a series of adverts to promote new grooming products which include a fragrance and anti-ageing skin creams.

The 'Children of Men' actor joins a host of other celebrities who have fronted campaigns for Lancôme, including Uma Thurman and Isabella Rossellini.

The film sees the Titanic actor playing a South African mercenary in the civil war of Sierra Leone in the 1990s. His character tries to hunt down a valuable and rare pink diamond in hope that it will help him to start a new life.

"This really was a foreign accent for me. I had never spent any time with a South African mercenary so it was a matter of going out there and seeking these men out, getting them drunk - which was really difficult - and hearing their stories," DiCaprio told the Sunday Mail.

"I was meeting all those people and trying to extract some of their personal stories and put that into the character that I was playing in the movie. And of course a lot of time was used to try to perfect this extremely difficult accent."

  • 50 Cent the condom

50 Cent is to launch his own range of condoms.

The rapper is to put his name to a new line of rubber sheaths and has revealed he is to donate a percentage of the profits to a HIV charity.

50, who recently announced that he has co-written three novels, said: "The kids become immune when you constantly beat them over the head, 'Read a book, read a book.' We have to be a little more creative about it. It's the same with safe sex. As opposed to being part of a safe sex campaign, I'm going to make condoms and donate a part of the proceeds to HIV awareness."

The three books that 50, real name Curtis Jackson, has penned are entitled 'Death Before Dishonour', 'Baby Brother' and 'The Ski Mask Way' and are based on the experiences of him and his G-Unit band.

  • Gary Barlow to pen track for Leona

Gary Barlow has promised to write a song for X Factor winner Leona Lewis.

The Take That singer met Lewis when his band performed with her during the series finale in December. Barlow admits he was immediately impressed by her talent, and made his views known on national television.

"This girl is probably fifty times better than any other contestant you have ever had, so you have a big responsibility to make the right record with her," he told Simon Cowell at the final.

And now Barlow has revealed he is more than happy to stand by his opinion, telling the Daily Sport: "She is by far the best voice we've had from a talent show. So it would be a privilege to help her get started. I already have an idea for the kind of track that would suit her."

  • Ian tells Cleo about coming out experience

Ian has told Cleo about his decision to reveal himself as gay a matter of hours before entering the Big Brother House.

Cleo had been asking the actor about how his experience on the show had differed from his expectations when he pointed out that he had had more to deal with on the first day than simply entering the house. He described his coming out decision as "scary" but he "felt like a weight had lifted".

He also explained why it has taken him until the age of 29 to make his revelation, rather than coming out during Steps or soon after their split. "I was worried of the reaction because I didn't want our fans to think I was betraying them," he admitted, adding that it was important to come to terms with himself silently.

Cleo went on to reassure Ian, telling him: "People do like the person, and I think they'll respect your courage."

Ian concluded happily that this stage of his life was "a new chapter all round".

  • Housemates discuss Jackiey's exit

The housemates have again reflected on Jackiey's surprise exit, some of them speculating where she might be now.

Jackiey left the house last night as she received the least support from voters. However, working with the idea that housemates should always expect the unexpected when dealing with Big Brother, Danielle has other ideas.

"I think she's next door," she revealed. "Maybe she's next door with someone else and they have to nominate someone to go on Friday." Others were not as taken with the theory, as Jade set her straight: "I think she's gone".

Jade, who was hit hard by last night's eviction, also assured the others that she was in much better spirits this morning. "The only thing I was worried about was the initial thing, walking out," she said.

Earlier today, Cleo and Ian analysed the workings of the Goody family. "It was like a mother losing a child last night," opined Cleo, as Ian agreed with her interpretation. "Jade is definitely the mother in that relationship," he concurred.

  • Still Crazy in Love With Beyonce

    beyonce-gq-uk

Beyonce is GQ UK’s covergirl for their February 2007. It’s a shiny shiny photoshoot with Beyonce sporting some sort of silver chain/plating dress. Here are a few quotes that we can draw out:

“I feel like everybody is always expecting me to perform.”

“I need success because I feel like I was born for it.”

“On stage, I’m wild and aggressive and strong — I sing real strong, I dance real wild.”

  • Craig & Kidman Get Hot and Heavy in Bed

Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig take on the February 2007 issue of W Magazine. The A-listers connect twice this year on the big screen — The Invasion and His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass. Here’s an excerpt of Nicole and Daniel’s interview with W:

Daniel Craig can’t stand listening to Nicole Kidman. In fact, it’s so painful that he has stuck his fingers in his ears and is humming loudly to drown her out. Meanwhile, Kidman is happily responding to a question about whether the 38-year-old actor changed after landing his role as James Bond last year.

“Oh, completely,” deadpans Kidman, 39, who was with him, shooting one of their upcoming films, The Invasion, when he got the call. “In 24 hours he became a diva,” she adds, with a nod toward Craig, who continues to hum his tune as the pair sit in the cozy bar of a London photography studio, where they’re sharing a bottle of sparkling water. But then Kidman breaks down and tells the truth: “Oh, he didn’t change at all,” she says in her haute-Aussie twang. “The thing about Daniel, and the reason I like working with him, is that he’s an actor’s actor.”

Of course, Craig has heard the whole thing, and he seems far more alarmed by the compliment than by the faux insult. “How dare you!” he shouts, and they both giggle.

It is a chilly, slate gray autumn Saturday, and Kidman, who’s barefoot and still wearing a caffe latte–colored Dior gown from the fashion shoot, and Craig, in a navy blue cardigan more suited to Mister Rogers than Mr. Bond, are punchy after a long day posing under hot lights. On Monday they’ll return to the London set of The Golden Compass, a fantasy-adventure film based on the first book in Philip Pullman’s trilogy His Dark Materials. The movie, to be released later this year, is their second collaboration, the first being The Invasion, which is loosely based on Invasion of the Body Snatchers and is also due out in 2007.

  • Prison Break’s Day of Reckoning Coming

    wentworth-miller-phone

New Prison Break promo! Looks like Michael (Wentworth Miller) is unwillingly forced to call someone up. But TV Guide interrogated Paul Adelstein, aka Paul Kellerman, about his character’s big switch to the good side:

Agent Kellerman looks like he’s becoming a good guy. Is he? On Prison Break, what defines you as a good guy is if you’re on Michael and Lincoln’s side — which means Kellerman hasn’t been a good guy. But in his mind, he’s always tried to do the right thing for God and country. His turn, if that’s what it is, is born of the right instinct.

So we shouldn’t believe he’s changed? Part of the fun in the second half of the season is asking, “What is this guy’s motivation?” But it would be naive to the audience, given Kellerman’s history, to think that it’s a clear-cut path change.

Michael doesn’t know that Kellerman tortured Dr. Sara Tancredi. Is that going to come out? One of the interesting things about the show is the good guys are convicts and anybody who helps them is someone you sympathize with. If Michael and Lincoln don’t try to exact revenge on Kellerman, that may generate some sympathy for him. But as this fragile alliance is built, there is a day of reckoning coming.

  • Mills wants four of Macca's homes

Heather Mills has demanded four of Sir Paul McCartney's homes as part of their divorce settlement, according to a report today.

The former model has told her lawyers that she wants to fight for properties in London, Sussex, Los Angeles and New York. A secret 'shopping list' drawn up by Mills also reveals that she expects a lump sum of £50 million as well as an annual allowance, because she believes that her marriage to Paul destroyed her career.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Throughout the marriage Heather told her friends and people she worked with that nothing good has come out of marrying Paul. She says before she met him she used to earn loads of money but being with him destroyed her earning potential."

Another insider added: "Heather is living in dream land. She hardly earned millions before they got together. If anything, her profile and therefore earning potential escalated after she met Paul. Paul has spent years building up his property portfolio and he's not going to be giving up any homes he owns without a fight."
